What a gem to come across as we traveled across Nebraska!If you're traveling on I-80 and are tired of the usual choices, the Red Bird Bakery is SO worth stopping for. No it's not the fastest stop but your body will thank you for skipping yet another Little C's pizza or subway sandwich. And the prices here are more than reasonable. We got a few bacon breakfast burritos, a cheese pizza, and a couple cinnamon rolls.The burritos were more of a 3.5-4 star level but the pizza was what brought our review up to 5 stars. Super fresh tasting, soft crust, hearty sauce and plenty of cheese. The cinnamon rolls are big and fluffy with plenty of cream cheese frosting. The desserts r amazing ! Have never eaten in, always tske home. But a tiny little spot, don't expect a spot z2 sit. Have a couple of stools z@ the counter. I have heard the pizza is crazy good, that's allWord of mouth. It's a bit of a trip 4 us 2 get there, but if I go into Doniphan 2 shop, I always stop @ Red bird& grab a few desserts 2 take home. Sometimes order cinnamon rolls 2 go 4 family gatherings, love the Cin rolls. And desserts.

The Pizza is huge and delicious, and there desert is good to. Excellent prices, and the staff are very nice!

Great Pizza and cinnamon rolls. Who ever is in charge of making dough has the secret whipped! Too bad not currently a sit down location but order only at a window, order ahead so the wait is not factored in. Our wait was pretty long but they kindly gave us a dozen delicious home made cookies for free! Worth the drive to get to this small town gem!

Saw this on Yelp. We stayed overnight at Mormon island state red area and called to place an order 15 min before they closed. They took the order with no hesitations. It felt like I was driving through Norman Rockwell's America to get there. Went up to window at curb to pick up. The aroma from the window was amazing. Their "personal Pan" pizzas were like most places small. It was delicious! Crust just thick enough to be soft and just thin enough to not feel like you are only eating bread. The garlic knots were so tender and tasty. We got cinnamon rolls for next morning breakfast and they are HUGE! Even next morning they were still so fresh and tender. Really wish this place was closer to home!

Pizza is delicious, and a cupcake to top it off was the perfect treat!! Hopped off the freeway because of a backup and we were rewarded for seeking this place out.

Yes! This is worth the jog off the interstate! Delicious thin crust pizza with a little cornmeal in the crust. Nebraska awesomeness! Kind caring peeps!
