One of my fave places to stop in when I'm looking to take in some tunes, quiet my mind or find a hidden ear gem. Owner is super attentive, knows his stuff, and always has something hidden that seems to be made for you! Tell him what you're looking for and he'll bend over backwards to find it...and suggest even more. It sounds like a knock to say "a little hard to find what you're looking for," but for those who love the Record Store experience...High Fidelity Style...that's a perfectly wonderful thing!Dont miss Record Store Days! This guy is GREAT at what he orders!

This store reminds me a little of the record store in the excellent documentary about unfinished documentaries, "Flipside." Stuart is a bit quirky but friendly, honest and a fountain of knowledge, at least about the bands I'm interested in. The people that shop here are long time regulars and I always leave knowing more about music than when I entered. I love this store!

My business goes way back with Stuart to the Dirt Cheap/Recycled Sounds in the Old Market and Lincoln. Wall to wall and ceiling to floor collectibles. Very knowledgeable and very fair in his dealings. Just compare to eBay. If he has what you're looking for, the price is reasonable. My go to for vinyl. Just do your research beforehand.

I've been to Recycled Sounds once and not sure if there is a draw to go back. His prices seem a tad high for some of the used, vintage vinyl. Also, I wish he had a bigger selection. The owner is a super knowledgeable and really nice guy.If I'm in the neighborhood in the near future, I plan on stopping in again to see if he has any of my 'hard-to-find' vintage vinyl records.

I love digging through records without knowing what I'm looking for. The guy couldn't understand that I didn't have particular albums in mind. I buy on whims! And I highly doubt they had the Plasmatics or Ozzie Nelson's Orchestra (I love them both though different types of music). I know not to look for used Ramones records. The guy was telling me to come way early on Record Store Day to grab the rare Ramones. Just because I'm a huge fan doesn't mean I absolutely have to have the albums! I prefer the accidental discovery.Plus the guy working there is too opinionated. Dee Dee Ramone's solo album is very different but I happen to like it (most people hate it). Just because he doesn't like it, doesn't mean it's trash. He offered his opinion on an app to organize my records. Yes, I've heard that Discog is good but I'm going with CLZ. Thanks for the recommendation but I'll go with something different. He couldn't understand that.If I go back, I'll have a list because just browsing seemed to be discouraged....

Stopped in on Monday, scored a couple of classic Fred Neil records and Paul Simon promo in fantastic condition. Prices are a tad high, but will gladly pay to support a great local business. Guy running the place knows his music. Highly Recommend!

Recycled Sounds is one crazy record store! The guys who work in here are legendary for telling stories, selling things at internet prices, and having a lot of chaos in the store! I have been here a few times now, I love how jam packed full of stuff it is! And they always have some really hard to find or weird stuff. But it's always way to expensive! They sell stuff at what people try to sell stuff on THE WORLD WIDE WEB, (slightly bigger market) then Lincoln, NE.But who cares right, they are fun to talk too, they have great stories about seeing ELO on both American tours, seeing the DOORS and they play the records of these bands in the store just so people ask about them and they can tell stories! If you got a couple hours to waste this is a great spot to go, not only for the stories but if you are actually looking for something this is not the easiest record store to find it in, but there is a good chance they have it, but its in the wrong section or under a pile of other goodies! This last time I was here, I found a used copy of Achtung Baby on cd and I told my friend he should buy it for 5 bucks and he was like I will, but then the cd was not in the case, and it was supposed to have a number on the inside so the owners of the store could find what case the actual cd was in and the number had been removed so they had no clue where the cd was.. But did offer to sell us the case without the cd. I do really like going in here, It's kinda a magical old store that still has Oasis subway size posters on the wall, and the stories you hear are gold even if they might be fabricated a bit! Don't ruin a good story by telling the truth!

Grabbed Sly and the Family Stone Greatest Hits and the Cannonball Adderley Quintet's Mercy, Mercy Mercy! The guy who helped us out is incredibly knowledge and had plenty of interesting things to say.

This store is amazing! They have every vinyl album imaginable! Not to include having every cassette tape, 45, etc. They also have hundreds of posters from previous decades. Definitely a place to go and get lost for hours on end. Was amazed at the owners knowledge.
