Rath's Cafe

On our return road trip from Oregon to our home in Texas and decided to try Raths Cafe in Aurora and we were glad we did. Good delicious old style home cooking that came with conversations with the locals. Everyone at the Cafe was great and it was nice to get such great service from the staff. Do yourselves a favor and take the short 3 mile detour off of I80 into Aurora and visit this quaint little town cafe you won't be disappointed so much better than the franchise restaurants that you find along the interstate highways.

Wow!!! The best omelette I've ever had in my life! No joke. I am actually so impressed that I'm writing this review in the restaurant, as we are eating. If you're in the area, don't miss out. Everything was delicious Service was great as well. It's also has a great ambiance, low key music, and people are not too loud.

I went to Aurora today to check out a new bookstore and decided to grab a bite to eat. What a great experience Rath's was! Such kind people and the food was so great! I would make a side trip there any day. Great Hot Beef Sandwich, a dish I haven't had in years and was so happy with the result!

Fabulous!!!!! Will be back! Atmosphere was fun. Checked tableclothes, super fun salt and peppers shakers, chalkboard dessert menus. Even the restroom had fun things to read and look at on the walls. Loved the vibe. Husband thought it was too loud and busy. He would like to be in permanent quarantine I think. Not many places even attempt the Monte Cristo sandwich and when I saw it on the menu I had to! Love love love a good Monte Cristo! It did not disappoint! Fantastic! Would have liked the raspberry sauce to be a little more fruit and not so gel but it had an amazing flavor so was not too much distraction from the whole picture. The homemade broccoli salad was delish. Finished off my meal with a German Chocolate cake whirl. Wow!Husband got the Poor Man steak (- onion) and a salad and cottage cheese. He was already crabby cause I drug him out of the house to go to the vets office with the dog and a large bill.... so when the salad came with chopped cucumbers on it the grimacing from across the table was almost more than I could take. No worries the flavor of the gravy which he thought was homemade was enough to win him over. And a homemade butterfinger whirl turned even a grumpy farmer into a fan. Koi

It's an amazing little hole in the wall restaurant highly recommend!! I get the Egg burger almost every time it's so good. 10/10

I was traveling to the West coast to visit family and just happened to find this place. A wonderful little cafe full of friendly people. Breakfast was outstanding, coffee was darn good too. Do yourself a favor and bypass chain restaurants and stop in for a meal. Better food, better memories.

Went there for Friday supper. Pretty good crowed located right next to Michelle's Recreation Center. Good food and pastries. Had a wonderful time!

Rath's Cafe is our own little Aurora native "Cracker Barrel " Breakfast is outstanding every time, Friday evening steak dinners are top of the line, the service super friendly and accommodating and the ambience very cozy and inviting!

Great food, always full of happy people. Save room for dessert!
