i have never visited a pawn shop before given the fact that i'm 20. i had a family emergency that required getting a lot of money quickly. so my boyfriend & i decided to give it a go as a last resort. We didn't know what we were doing & so we asked the lady at this pawn shop to explain. She gave us an attitude the whole time. We asked her when the first interest payment was due she said at the end of the month. Then after everything was signed , she said i have a week before it would be $6 then two weeks it would be $12. everything was all signed so i couldn't get my items back because they have a 48 hour policy. they are scammers & scumbags who want to take advantage of people in need. when we went in we noticed most of their clients were mentally ill, chronically ill, or down on their luck. we went back before the week ended & the guy tried charging me $12. They thought since we were young they would be able to scam us but i was so upset i told him "no the lady right next you told me it would be $6 for a week." & the lady just sat there looking at me blankly and tried to lie. the guy was like well yes you are under the first week mark okay. Then the next incident is that they have a sign that says you can pay the interest off with a card. you can't ! it's always a catch with these people , you can pay off the interest with card if you wait over a month . overall a horrible place with horrible people. they have signs all over saying "however you treat us the better price you get" when they themselves are horrible people who treat non white people rudely. would never ever recommend.
