Ramona's Mexican Restaurant

Visited Ramona's for Valentine's Day especially so that my wife could have the Indian Taco. It lived up to the hype -- delicious!They had the Combination Dinner as one of the daily specials and the waitress said they would happily do substitutions. I swapped the tamale out for a chicken burrito instead. We ordered the Chips with Salsa to get started. I recommend getting the mixed chips -- the corn chips are sprinkled with chili powder which gives them a little kick; while the fried flour chips were legit. The chunky salsa had good spice without overpowering the senses. After devouring all the chips and salsa, we didn't have room to eat the entire entrees. So we took some home to enjoy later. As a result, I can't comment on the Taco's taste -- however, it looked great. My burrito and enchilada were both very good. Our server kindly brought more hot Salsa to use with our meals.Meanwhile, there were a couple of negatives affecting our experience. 1) they were having plumbing problems which caused water on part of the floor. The servers apologized for that issue. 2) The bill had a "procurement fee" added on. When I questioned it, the server said it was their credit card merchant's fault, that they had signs posted [albeit very small ones], and that they would take it off if I paid cash. That exchange put a damper on it evening -- so I'm lowering my rating by 1 star.Overall, we enjoyed the food. The server was friendly and helpful (not her fault that management is passing along the card processing fee). We will probably return when the weather improves so that we can have their Indian Taco again.

This one is hard, because I really wanted to like this place. The server was friendly and I have nothing bad to say about that. The food on the other hand wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. It was a slower time so we were able to order and get our food pretty quickly. I ordered chicken flautes and an order of fries. The fries weren't too bad...just some regular crinkle fries. The chicken was dry and bland and that's the only way to describe that. The space was cozy, but no plan to return.

Kinda disappointed with this place. I was looking forward to getting their fried burrito for awhile and when I did, it wasn't great. The meat wus unseasoned and there was to sauce on it. I had to soak it in hot sauce. The service was fine because we went when it was slow but you'd really have better food somewhere else.

I really enjoyed my meal from Ramona's! Some of the best Mexican food I've had in Omaha. I tried the deep fried burrito which was pretty good and probably better in restaurant than delivery like I got it because the bottom got a little soggy which is to be expected with how much chili and fillings there were on it for delivery. Not spicy and pretty tasty.I never saw anyone say or show what the taco burger looked like so I got it but it wasn't the best. I would skip it and try their classic entrees over this. It was fine but it was just not unique or memorable. I also had tried just a normal combo plate with enchiladas and a taco and it was tasty! I enjoyed everything I tried and would be happy to try again. Looking forward to trying the Indian taco next time.

Their food was okay. Nothing to write home about. The staff is helpful and friendly. They work hard. But the quality is not there. The inside is nice to eat in when it isn't too busy which it has been many times we've visited.Plus, they advertise for politicians who are not in the best interest of business owners or, citizens in general. Honestly, no matter who the politician is, not sure a business who is consistently online complaining about lack of business ought to be dividing themselves saying basically they don't want anyone who disagrees with their policies as a customer.

So disappointed and do hope they step it up. We were a group of five. We came in after the owner put out a plea on the news. They advertised Bogo on margaritas. Waitress failed to mention regular price for the tequila. I had two margaritas and for the price of two, should have felt a buzz, to which I felt nothing. Perhaps they forgot the tequila but sure as heck billed me for. Their so called Bogo was pointless. I felt manipulated and I'm not a fan. My brother wanted just a very small sample of their chili to determine if he wanted the Indian taco. The waitress said the owner would charge him for a bowl. My aunt ordered the taco dinner and the meet was cold. She said something to the waitress who pretty much dismissed her. Sadly we won't be back

Stopped in on a Tuesday evening. First time dining in here. I had a fried flour taco and my dining partner had the Indian Taco. Both were really good! Liked the mild sauce on the table. Service was great as well! Will be back!!

It's a nice atmosphere, and things are improving since the City of Omaha is nearly bankrupted them by blocking access to the restaurant for nearly a year.Similar in price and taste to Jonesy's or Romeos. It's definitely a restaurant I'll keep going to.

Had high hopes for our second try as our first was a little shaky and we thought may just be bad luck.Our server seemed annoyed from the minute we walked in. Honestly I could look past that, but the food arrived at our table about 3mins after ordering... cold and tasteless. Margaritas.. we could only muster up about 5 "tastes". Left a full plate of food and 2 full margaritas. I know a lot of places are short staffed, but you're going to have to do better Romana's. 10/10 wont' be back, but I do wish them well. Got in the restaurant and order one meal to go and be to eat. Was told it was about 20 minutes for food. Ok. Got my food and waited another 65minutes for my to go order. Server checked on me once. Gave me my ticket 30 minutes before I even received my togo order. Could see into the kitchen and microwave was used a lot. Food was just meh....3 stars is being generous
