A small look into the stringing room at the Aussie Open.

This is Joe. He loves what he does for a living. Ask him anything about racquets and strings, and he will share his knowledge.

It's difficult to walk on the court without a tennis bag full of stuff. We have many to choose from.

Like many players on tour, Raphael Nadal needs a bunch of racquets strung before he heads out to the court.
At the U.S. Open in 2010 stringing a wooden frame for the on site museum. A rare opportunity.

I started tennis back up after quite a few years of not playing and wanted to invest in a new racket. I decided to try racquet corner out after reading that I could borrow rackets to try them out before buying. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, asking me questions to figure out which racket would best suit me. I tried two rackets and loved one. Throughout the entire process, I never felt pressured or rushed to buy anything either-they always said they could just re-string my current one if I found I liked my current one the best, which I really appreciated. A few weeks later, I walked out with a great new racket that I am very happy with!

I suppose I dont need to REALLY write a review about this place, obviously the tennis buffs in Omaha already know about it and frequent it, but for the lesser inclined casual players here is what I have to say:The shop is pretty small upon entering. Some apparel, tennis accessories/bags and only one wall of racquets. There was a machine for stringing racquets there. At first, not very impressed. Then the owner came out to talk to us and everything changed. He is an experienced tennis player, and really knows his stuff. He has strung racquets for the US OPEN and AUS OPEN, as well as some other tournys. He was patient and willing to fit us all with racquets of our liking based on what we told him about past experiences and what we wanted. One unique thing about this shop is that he allows you to Demo a racquet. This means you take it home for an agreed period of time and are able to try out the racquet(s) you are interested in. That's a pretty sweet deal. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good customer satisfaction and would like to deal with someone who is going to hook you up with the right equipment. Dont get fooled into a Walmart racquet or Dicks or Sports Authority. Come here and try it yourself!

I recently started playing some tennis again (after an 18 year hiatus) and came in here to get my very old racket a new grip. Phenomenal customer service. My new grip was only $10. They also gave me some great instruction as to how frequently I should consider getting my racket restrung and a general overview of the type of racquet that I might be looking for based upon how I hit, etc. They even gave me a loaner racket to try out so I could test the differences between my current racket and something newer. Interestingly I also learned on this visit that there are approximately 750 different types of string for a tennis racket. That is very overwhelming! The shop is small, but the level of expertise that you are going to get here is all that matters.

I'm not usually one to review but I just must share the incredible customer service at this location. I was a newbie to tennis at 40 and after a bit of break back at 45. I was impressed then and continue to be pleased. The knowledge and patience (I tend to be a talker) goes well above today's standard. I'm always a bit timid speaking about things I'm not 100% sure about, Joe and staff are like an in person tennis for dummies. They never make me feel dumb but do help me not make dumb decisions. All the while never attempting to sell me up on anything I don't need. If all customer service businesses would follow this model I'd probably enjoy shopping more. If you're new to tennis and don't feel comfortable talking the equipment but want to learn about it, this is your spot. Chain stores may seem less intimidating but you'll probably be buying things you don't need or won't help. Give it a shot. I highly doubt you'll be less than impressed.

Joe from Racquet Corner is a very knowledgeable person. He will not try to sell his products if that does not fit your requirements. Last week I went to his shop because my daughter's coach asked her to go for a heavier racquet. He actually put the lead tape on her existing racquet and had her try it out before having us to spend money on a brand new one. Thank you for the trick!
