Beautiful par 3 over the quarry, next to the train tracks and off the river.
Another wonderful shot with another fantastic view.

Making a reservation for a tee te was relatively easy online. Once you make the drive into the main driveway, there are no large signs and you can easily miss the main road if you don't have a GPS system. The parking lot is divided into 2 areas and it's a relatively easy walk to the clubhouse. Staff are friendly but once yiu get your gold cart key, you are on your own. There was no official starter, no rover official to make sure rules are being followed or if you are keeping pace imfront and in back of other parties, and no refreshment cart circling around the course. Each cart has GPS but it's the basic unit, no frills on letting you know how far ahead the next foursome is when you have a blind hill to play off of. There is only 1 temporary portapotty at the 3rd tee, no restroom until you get back to the clubhouse after the 9th hole. Overall, it's a decent course but I would disagree with other Yelpers that this is the best public golf course in Nebraska.

This is a beautiful course and well worth trying a round. It's pretty open but plenty challenging with a nice variety of par 3s to par 5s. I birdied my first par 5 ever here. The price is worth it but makes it a special occasion course for me. Will plan to play a round a season here for sure. Give it a try - amazing views throughout.

Hands down the most beautiful course I have ever played. Exceptionally well maintained, greens in outstanding condition and the scenery is phenomenal. The course is nice and secluded as well. Now, the course is challenging, most holes 400+ yards with lots of hills, bunkers and a handful of water hazards. Do yourself a favor and pack some extra golf balls because you will lose more than a few unless you are a scratch golfer. After your round enjoy a drink on the patio of their beautiful club house a take it all in. Not a cheap course but definitely worth the money to check it out at least once.

This is definitely the most enjoyable public course in Nebraska. The word "enjoyable" is fairly relative but for me it sums up four things: challenging layout, impeccable conditions, isolation, scenery. This is probably the toughest course I have ever played. You don't know what "rough" is until you have played here, it's so thick and snarly you really need to get lucky to get a good lie. Lots of bunkers, winding fairways, water on several holes, and enough elevation changes to make you question what state you are in.The best thing about this course is the isolation, I have never felt so secluded on a golf course. There are no houses or roads in sight, and best of all the holes are so spread out that there is literally no chance of someone getting on your fairway from another hole. The views here are also tremendous. I found myself standing on teeboxes and fairways just looking around instead of hitting the ball. It was a gorgeous day. You are bound to see some deer and wild turkey, as several holes run right along the edge of the river. Only downside to that there is a train track next to the river as well, so I suppose some loud trains could potentially roll by, but it wasn't a problem for me!If you haven't spoiled yourself with 18 holes at Quarry Oaks, do yourself a favor and check it out. You may shoot the worst score of your life, but I bet you will be impressed with the course.

The course itself was in good shape, greens and fairway were well-maintained. My major issue with the club was removing the "replay" feature that has been present in the past at the course. While I realize COVID has given the club extra business and negated the need for extra replay times, I feel that completely removing the replay rate sacrifices a lot of the enjoyment for group trips and people planning to play two rounds in one day. It is a lot more feasible to plan a full golf outing where the total cost is 110$ per golfer, instead of 160$. Also, completely removing the rate, even when the course is completely empty with almost no tee times used or golfers present, gives the impression that the club is more concerned with money than experience. It is easy to justify when all the tee times are full, but harder when the afternoon is wide open. When a group had enough fun that they'd like to add another round at a beautiful course, the move to take away a long-standing course tradition is quite a shame. Hopefully the club will consider adding back some more availability for additional rounds, especially on slow days. Until then, It will be hard to justify the course as a destination when planning group trips.

One of the best public courses in the area. Definitely worth the drive from Omaha. It's always in very good shape and has a couple of absolutely gorgeous holes along the river and #17 has a elevated tee overlooking Miner's Pond that you have to carry with your approach shot. The par 3 over the old quarry is another signature hole. But they really need a GPS system as a lot of blind shots from both tee and on approaches.

Nicest public golf course we have played, including Maui. Great staff. Every hole is different and such great card taken. A must play in the Omaha area.

Over-priced and horrible conditions. My husband and I wanted to give this place a second chance since we were back in town for the holiday weekend...and total let down. This course needs some time to regroup and return to the premier course it USED to be. Call Ironhorse- 402-944-9800. Such a better course, better experience ...and worth the dollars.

This course is beautiful and a little tough. Surrounded by woods with towering trees, water and wildlife. You won't be disappointed with the scenery, unless your looking for palm trees in Nebraska. :) It is a bit pricey in comparison to other courses around town but worth playing. Service has always been good as well as the food. I have been there for events as well and they always do a great job. Highly recommend!
