Quacker's Steakhouse

We were traveling thru town when a storm caused us to take overnight shelter at Audrey's Motel. The owner of the hotel recommended Quacker's to us. His praised it well so we gave it a try. We entered to find a group of sports fans and hunters dining and quickly found out what a great group of people come here. Everyone was friendly, fun, and we had a great evening. The food is freshly made to order from scratch, they accommodated me with a customized dish, and the portions were ample. The food was delicious! We have cheese curls with marinara dip, chicken bacon ranch wrap with seasoned home fries with dip, a BLT with seasoned home fries with dip, and a wonderful peach cobbler. We got full after half the meal and took the rest to enjoy at the hotel later. The waitress there was very attentive, polite, and is very good at service. She gave good recommendations and always had a smile.I recommend trying this gem off the highway because it is well worth it! If I travel back through this way again I will surely stop again. The food, ambiance, and people are great!

Had sign outside chicken 3-6 . We like deep fried chicken but only had 1 dinner left with white meat and none of the side mashed potatoes. Hubby likes the only white so he chose to try it. It was cold and we found it was the special from the previous day and had been cooked and left for today. Waitress tried to lie and say it was just from lunch today which is bad enough. And it was not all white so he couldn't eat all of it. My patty melt had a weird taste and it had American cheese not Swiss. Our fries were thinly sliced like chips and they were soggy and barely warm. It was all TERRIBLE ! And it also took forever to get which is even stranger because none of it was hot.

Great food and the staff were very friendly. My grandson and stop here for dinner on the way to Omaha. We both had the double burger and it was delicious! My grandson was amazed how everyone knew each other lol

Such a huge disappointment, I was really looking forward to trying this little place based on past reviews. But clearly a lot has changed since the glowing reviews of 2021.One thing that hasn't changed was their poor server was stretched so thin she couldn't take care of their customers. I give lots of grace to servers and last night was no exception, although I couldn't help but be frustrated when it took over 30 minutes to get my mixed drink (it wasn't good, but the server was also the bartender, so she probably wasn't trained), my pork tenderloin sandwich was overcooked & tough but she didn't have time to check back to see if it was okay. I also saw people around us getting the wrong orders and when something was forgotten, it was a long time before they could get her attention to ask for it, etc. And because she was trying to do so many things at once, she forgot a lot. We were there on a Monday at 5:00 and it filled up during the first hour of us being there, there was one server. Another server finally came in but they were still both overextended. No one wants to complain when people are trying so hard. And that seemed to be the overall sentiment throughout the small dining room. People were trying to get the server's attention to correct a problem, but she was moving so fast and trying to do too many things at once, so she missed the waving hands, requests, etc. Then there were other frustrated customers, like us, who just gave up on getting something corrected. And, that's not fair to the server(s) or the customers. So, the service was really lacking (no fault of the servers) the food and drinks were dismal, they were out of the condiments I was assured they had prior to ordering my meal, etc. Probably won't be trying this place again or recommending it to others. Really disappointed.

I wouldn't call this a typical steakhouse, more like a mom-and-pop, home cooking type restaurant. We happened upon this place while traveling from Atlanta to Wyoming. The place was PACKED and the only waitress was busting her tail to juggle every table. Despite that, she was friendly and attentive. I ordered the pork chop with sweet potato fries and a salad. The pork chop was massive and was the best, juiciest, most perfectly cooked chop I've ever eaten. That's not something I say lightly. Flavor was amazing and it really couldn't have been cooked any better. It was tender and delicious. The sweet potato fries were also the best I've ever had. I am NOT a fan of soft fries. I requested they be crispy and Quackers delivered. My husband had a good old burger with fries. He raved about how juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked his burger was as well. I started to give 4 stars because the name "steakhouse" denotes a certain expectation of elevation and atmosphere, but the food was so incredible that for what this place is, it needed 5 stars. Just don't expect a traditional steakhouse experience if you're online and trying to decide where to eat. We passed back through the area on our way back home to Atlanta but sadly we were too early for them to be open. If I could have another one of their pork chops, I'd eat it for breakfast! It was THAT good.

I love places like this. You walk in and you know it's a bunch of local regulars which usually means you're in the right place. Ordered the pork tenderloin with fries. The tenderloin was huge and delicious and the fries were freshly cut. The service was great. I would recommend this for sure.

When I went to quakers it was interesting we went to a table and they have the sugar spice and I am glad they had that and then when I went to the bathroom this guy tickles my stomach it was so sus and then when I went to the bathroom it smelt like puke I hateded the bathroom and the pizza was the 2nd best pizza I've ever had in my life and the customer service was good

The food was good, nothing special. The server seemed like she didn't really want to be there. We were the only table at the time and she was busy in the back talking to other employees. She did refill my ice tea , only it didn't have ice. When it was time to pay we had to go up to the register since she was again nowhere to be found.

The Kansas City strip was the best steak I have ever had. The service was outstanding and the beer was cold! Stop in if you get a chance. Just a good local place to eat and drink

I don't know how this place has any reviews over 2. We got there about 2:15 and a sign on the door said they were closing early at 3:00. We asked if it was ok if we ate there or if they had already cleaned the kitchen, the waitress was like, come on in, no the kitchen hadn't been cleaned yet. So we sat, ordered our drinks, and decided what we wanted for lunch before she came back with them so as not to take too much time. The service was horrible. We were the only ones in there, and every table was still dirty from I'm guessing the lunch rush. The empty parking lot should have clued us in, but we thought it was just because it wasn't really a traditional meal time that we stopped by. Everything was slow to come out; and the fries, oh the horror, they looked so good, but despite the color leading you to believe they were going to be perfection, they were soggy and wiggley Fries should not wiggle! I also got the buffalo chicken wrap, the wrap was so wet, from wet lettuce and too much and very thin buffalo sauce, I needed extra napkins but alas our waitress never came back to check on us so we had to take the wrapped table settings from another table. We hurried through lunch as to not stay any longer than necessary and we had to go up to the counter to get our bill and pay at which time we found out the waitress had just left and no one still in the establishment knew how to work the register. Thank goodness we had cash! So we left what we thought would cover our meal and some tip money for the poor girl left to finish the waitresses' job. She was very apologetic about her register knowledge shortcomings. We don't get out that way often, but we will not be eating here again on our next trip, I assure you.
