Primrose Restaurant

I came to Corning for 2 weeks for work and this was my favorite place to dine. I stopped multiple times and everything I had was delicious. I love that their menu changes weekly, it was exciting to come in and try something new. The first time I stopped I had the chicken and risotto which tasted like a home cooked meal. The second night I had the Primrose chopped salad and it was so good I've been trying to figure out how I can make a version at home. I had 2 different flat breads that were both great and had leftovers to take for lunch. I got a variety of desserts too which were delicious. I couldn't believe a place like this exists in this part of Iowa, but I was ecstatic that it did! The staff was all friendly and Jill remembered me every time I came in which was appreciated when you're away from home! The space is nice too, the bar is large and has ample seating. I might just take a trip out here again just for Primrose! Such a culinary delight.

My wife and I were on a drive out in the country recently and decided to stop at Primrose for some lunch, it was a great experience, so I thought I'd drop a quick review. Primrose sits right on the main street in the nice little town of Corning, Iowa. The restaurant was very nice, as were all of the staff. The place was extremely busy, which is always a good sign. The room is very nice, and has an open kitchen in the back and a very well stocked full bar along one side. The menu was pretty small, which is my only real complaint, I would have liked to see more selections, but I get not wanting to have a huge menu, and just doing a select number of items and doing them really well.I ordered the hot Honey chicken sandwich with fries and my wife had a cheeseburger and fries. Both were delicious, but special mention goes out to this chicken sandwich, it was amazing. Tangy, but not too spicy, and cooked perfectly, highly recommended. The burger was also really good, just a classic all American burger with some really crispy and tasty fries. We shared a caramel apple bar with a caramel drizzle on top, it was excellent, perfect dessert for a fall day. Overall an extremely enjoyable meal

Visiting from Washington state and was completely blown away. The food, the wine, the ambiance and the service was incredible. Highly recommend!

A great find. We just happened to be in the area and used Yelp to find this place. The service was fantastic. Very friendly and prompt. Very clean and modern interior. Very welcoming. A wide selection of local and craft beers. My wife ordered a mixed drink that she said was very good. The food was very good. I highly recommend.

Hot damn, just come here and enjoy, it was all excellent. Everything we tried was so good the staff was great. We were just riding through and the lady at the hotel recommended this place.

Excellent food at a good price. Great service and ambiance! Great bar and drinks. We live in TX but always enjoy the P when visiting relatives in the area and when we campground host at Green Valley during the summer.

Their hot honey chicken sandwich, chicken wings, and specials are always to die for! Good service and excellent place to gather for dinner.

Cannot say enough good things about not only the food but the staff. They have an menu that pretty basically but what I like about it is that it has random stuff. Like tonight it's Lamb. I have seen other things like rabbit before. I'm to chicken to try that lol. But it always looks amazing

They were out of several items for dinner so a little disappointed with that. Ordered a round for the boys in the back (fun suggestion on the menu) and thought maybe they'd say thank you- to my husband, but they must have been too tired to remember to use their manners that night. The burgers were tasty with great flavor and the fries were extra crispy- my favorite.

Great place! The drinks were very tasty and our server was exceptionally polite. The place looked great and overall really well done.
