I've been a power lifter going to a big box gym for a long time, but when I found deal on a month membership, I thought I'd give it a try. I'm pleasantly surprised and now considering an annual membership! I've tried most of the classes and have enjoyed all of them. From someone who lifts more heavy and less reps, the sculpt and barre classes require more time under tension so it's a great challenge and something different for my week. The yoga classes have been calming yet challenging and I feel comfortable as a pretty novice yogi to flow through without many hang ups. All the instructors I've had have been very nice and personable and you can tell that there is no judgment, regardless of where you're at in your fitness journey. I haven't used the facilities besides putting my stuff in a small cubby and the women's locker room but everything seems nice and clean. It's a little weird to me that no one really locks stuff up, but I understand that they lock the actual when there's a class in session.Between the street parking in the garage right behind inner rail, it's really easy to park and get to.

I enjoyed the overall experience, from the time I walked and checked in with the front desk staff members, to the time I was in the studio practicing yoga with my friends. I went during an open house event discussing what it's like to be a teacher. They had cake pops outside the studio after, whether you wanted to follow up with the teacher curriculum or not! So long as you came and showed up for yourself, you got a delicious Halloween-themed cake pops! The Power Life company offers free community classes at least three times a week, but definitely incentivizes you to grab a membership to receive more benefits, like an increase in variety of classes you can take, and more reach with the yoga instructors. The Power Life company also offers barre, hot yoga, and sculpt classes, along with the beginners yoga classes! I also really enjoy the staff's willingness to work with you, on nurturing your journey as a practicing yoga student, or an eager yoga instructor. 10/10 recommend!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE power life!!!! I had been in dire need of a new workout routine and was praying for something better than my normal jumping jacks I'm the basement. I used to do tons of home workouts but it was really hard to stay motivated lately. My friend took me to Power Life to try one of the classes with her, and I fell in love. The skinny:- unlimited memberships can be pricey, but see if the package down will work better for you or chat with the manager about membership options - if you don't bring a mat, you need to rent one for $2 or $3 (just buy a cheap one and then you never have to rent in my opinion!!) - the owner was SOOO accommodating and put on my profile that I have an allergy to essential oils. I love that they did this because the staff makes sure to turn off all diffusers before I show up. Such a blessing since I am allergic!!!- with the higher classes (like power 2), they move fast and there is little modeling depending on the instructor. Some will show you the pose but most will call it out and expect you to follow. Start with the other classes & then work your way up - park in the parking garage by inner rail. Safe bet you will get a spot and it is free!

I was staying at Aksarben for work training for about a month. I started trying the classes right away at Aksarben and I love them! I tried the barre, power yoga, sculpt and restore classes and I had a great time at each class. Renee and the instructors are all kind and motivating, and I loved that there was a variety of classes to attend with multiple times offered. They offer a variety of different class purchase options so I was able to attend upwards of 5 classes a week without having to book a renewing membership.
