Porchfest OMA

Overall great experience. Parking was easy due to an arrangement to use the Duchesne Academy parking lot, plus street parking is available if you get there early enough. Multiple stages spread throughout a very cool older neighborhood. Got to listen to some local musicians I never heard before. I saw multiple people listening with their kids and dogs so very family friendly event. Nice market area with adjacent food trucks and performance stage, so I got to eat my lunch outdoors listening to live musics. Bought a Porchfest Omaha t-shirt at the market and should have bought honey too. Perfect fall weather as an added bonus. I'll be back next year.

This was the most laid-back, community-centric event I've been to in years. People from in and around the Gifford Park neighborhood crowded around porches to enjoy local music (and comedy). The neighborhood farmers market coincided with the event, featuring many great local products and vendors.I may have been there passing out La Croix at the Yelp table, but it was great to be able to meet some new people and just hang out in their driveway while longtime neighborhood dwellers drifted in and out of conversation with strangers. Great event. Really strengthens the fabric of one of Omaha's most diverse and coolest neighborhoods. Can't wait till next year's Porchfest.
