Pop's Place Bar

Pops is a great neighborhood bar. You feel like you're part of the crew when you get here. Cheap drinks and good people.

I don't live far from Pop's so I drive by it often but it took me many years to take the time to stop in. I'm not even sure how long it's been there as years ago I believe it was owned by someone else. It's certainly not big, and yes most seem to be regulars so expect them to take a look at you when you walk in but once they've "checked you out" all is good and everyone is friendly. It's a fairly old building and maybe even a little intimidating from the outside. The inside is a bit dated, but the drinks are cheap and you will be welcomed! Pop was a horse jockey we were told, and there is some fun décor to look at that honors him. They have dart boards, a pool table and a juke box to keep you busy.They serve lunch daily during the week and have a sign outside that states what they have to choose from on that day. They also have taco's on Monday nights and we were told they were awesome, so definitely stopping in to give those a try.

I am sorry for those that had bed experiences there. I have been there 3 times the food has been wonderful not one problem of any kind service has been great. Are you guys sure this is where you were. The rest rooms were clean as was the bar area. My son and i had heard the food there was good and the burgers were supposed to rival Stella's they do and then some. We went back a second time and had different items off the menu and once again solid service and good food I will keep it as a go to place for inexpensive food and a good small place to eat. By the way the previously mentioned Stella's is good but over rated crowded and not near as clean. But that is just my opinion.

I've never cared for this bar as every time I go into it I feel like I'm not welcomed. The bartenders are super friendly thou and the prices are normal dive bar prices. There is a pool table, darts, and a juke box. It's just an ok bar, I'd rather go somewhere else. The atmosphere is "sketchy". Only way to describe it. By all means check it out thou.

came here Saturday night with a couple friends...fairly small on the inside, and a bit out of the way, but the bartender was very friendly and they served what I like...Prices seemed reasonable...Strikes me as very much a locals place, which can be a bit intimidating when first going...but if you live in the area and like a good, solid dive/locals bar, stop in...

This was our second visit and we will definitely return. Nice neighborhood bar. Good drinks and an excellent bartender. Ok, it's the next day and we're here again.
