We had seen the Pim's food truck around town a few times, but never when we could stop and try them out. Recently, they were at our neighborhood's food truck day, so we finally got to pop over and give them a try, and were very glad we did!The service was excellent, even with my husband asking a zillion questions. The line for the truck was pretty long so we settled in after ordering, expecting it to take a while to hear our name called. But to our surprise, our food was ready in a super timely manner. We headed home to try our chosen fare.We started with the crab rangoon, and even though we had it first, it was the highlight of the meal - it was that good! They had a little subtle sweetness to them and had a super creamy filling, with a not too crispy shell. One of the best crab rangoon offerings I've tried. We also had the pork dumplings as a starter and they were delicious. Our order didn't come with any type of dipping sauce, which it seems like it may have supposed to have, but we had soy sauce at home so that was fine. The dumplings themselves very fully filled with juicy tender meat and tasty veggies like cabbage and onions. We ordered one drink, as we were headed home with the food. We got the Fruit Chiller, which was a sweet watery fruit drink that tasted like it had watermelon and pineapple, but wasn't too sweet, with more of a refreshing watery consistency. For the main dishes, we ordered two:-The Chicken Pad Thai had us excited, as that is one of our favorite dishes when we get Thai. It was good, with the chicken being marinated really well, but the noodles themselves were a little stringy.-The Crispy Chicken, which the owner said was similar to an orange chicken. It didn't have any form of sauce on it when we opened the box, but it turned out to be marinated in a semi-sweet sauce that seeped wonderfully into the rice below.I would say if you see Pim's truck at an event, they are definitely a solid choice!

I had the chance to try Pim's Thai food truck for the second time at an event this week and all I can say is WOW! What a delicious meal. I didn't even realize they had a brick and mortar location until now either!I went for the crispy chicken this time and let me tell you, this is some of the best chicken I've ever had! Crunchy and full of flavor, paired perfectly with my fried rice. The spice level is just the right amount of flavor with little to mild heat (no need to worry if you don't like spice, definitely mild enough for light spice preferences). My wife tried their chicken pad Thai which is what I had the first time I had Pim's. An excellent dish - it's what you would expect from a typical pad Thai, but even more flavorful from Pim's. We splurged for the dumplings to complete our meal tonight which were an excellent compliment. Ask for their sweet and sour sauce though, it's a little tangy but delicious! Next time you're craving some amazing thai food, look now further than Pim's!

My husband's company had Pim's available one day for lunch. I'm such an advocate of supporting local businesses, but this was really a miss. We tried Taro boba...it tasted like a buttered popcorn jelly belly and the boba was a very odd consistency. We also tried the chicken pad Thai and the chicken was so dry. We overall walked away pretty disappointed. I'm hoping it was just a down day for Pim's as I know others have had much more positive experiences!

My friends and I went to late night at the zoo and tried Pim's Thai food truck! They did not disappoint. The food was fresh and so tasty! I love the crispy chicken! So much flavor and so crispy. The staff was very friendly and professional as well! Also, very fast paced and efficient considering they had a long line!

Look, I'll never just slam a business but this was not good. $25 for shrimp pad Thai and Rangoon.Feedback for the crew so they can improve:Your noodles were so over cooked there was no stiffness left to them and they were oiled but without substantial flavor. Also, please don't cut the noodles into 2" strips, I'm not a child. No ability to customize heat or spice, just hot sauce on the side.Shrimp were too moist and likely par boiled for prep without being fresh and snappy. Definitely a cheap pre frozen product. Over all flavor was poor at best.Crab Rangoon was just cream cheese. Also, oil was too cold for a quick seal and the wrappers were so thick it became chewy. I hate posting this stuff but I tossed $25 of food a few bites in. Maybe this passes for Thai in Nebraska but this was not good.

Let me begin this by saying... I will NEVER go to another Thai place again. Hands down the BEST Thai food in Omaha. I got the Chicken Pad Thai, spice level 4 and the vegetarian spring rolls. Both were piping hot when I got home (approximately 20 minutes after picking up). Spice level was perfect! The spring rolls were crispy, refreshing, and super filling! The prices were also super reasonable! $10.95 for the Pad Thai and $5.95 for 5 spring rolls! The portion size was great, I couldn't finish it!! I did also order a boba tea--my first time trying and I wasn't a fan. But I think that's personal preference. 100/10 recommend this place!!

Food Truck Fridays at Elk Creek Crossing have been a hit at our house and Pim's Thai offering did not disappoint. A quick, efficient ordering system utilized plastic numbers rather that shouting names and this food truck had a system that worked like a well oiled machine. I ordered the chicken pad Thai. Shrimp was also an option at the same $10 price. My husband went the crispy chicken route. The menu featured a variety of appetizers including spring rolls, crab rangoon and pork dumplings. Our meals were boxed in traditional styrofoam containers and bagged for take out, although many were utilizing the covered picnic area and perfect fall weather. The pad Thai was nicely seasoned without the hot spice that sometimes accompanies this dish. A side of chopped peanuts and a slice of lime were an added bonus that is often missing when ordering for takeout. The crispy chicken packed a little spicy punch for a novice Thai diner but the box was quickly consumed. Pim's provides a great food truck experience with "just right" portions, good food and efficient service. Another positive food truck Friday in the hood........this is becoming our goto Friday outing!

I was hungry for pad Thai last night, and wanted to be adventurous. I heard about Pim's and set my mind to get there! Boy oh boy am I glad I did!I had the best Pad Thai of my life, and I have had a lot of it! I got the shrimp because, Friday, LOL. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, not chewy and rubbery like some places presented to you. Tender shrimp cooked to perfection, the amount noodles-to-vegetables---totally on point. Cannot fully express just how fabulous it was. I endured driving home with the smell tempting my taste buds and admittedly the last thing on my mind was taking a picture when I placed it in the counter. I even called back and asked to talk to the Chef and told him that it was "perfect."This is a little gem, a little hole in the wall set in a northwest strip mall that I hope more people discover I will support this young couple to the moon and back!
