Give your money to a different adoption center. Adopted a kitten here and got charged licensing fees for her and all my other animals yet didn't receive any tags for them. That was back in June. I've called back several times and left a message for a manger but haven't gotten a response. Some of the people at the front desk are super nice and some are super rude and not helpful at all. Seems like this place charges you for a bunch of stuff to get money and then as soon as you walk out the door they're done helping you. Was also informed by a lady at the front desk that my kitten was too young to be licensed but I was charged a licensing fee? This place is just a money grab. Management has not been helpful or responsive. I will not be recommending this place to anyone in the future.

Clean, beautiful looking facility that is run by the capital humane society. The animals are well behaved and the cages are kept super clean. My visit there was odor free too. Didn't find anything on this time around but the staff was really friendly. I noticed a lot of cats of all ages and also a lot of dogs in the hound/pitbull type breed in need of loving homes.

Friendly, helpful and mostly knowledgeable staff. We adopted a super sweet cat from here and the facility is neat, clean and modern. The 'meeting' rooms are spacious and seem to keep the animals' stress level down. Definitely recommended.

Very, very disappointed in the lack of response AFTER I adopted two cats. I called to speak to an animal behaviorist to see how I can get the two cats I adopted to stop fighting. I had to leave a message and after a week, STILL no call back. These two cats were in the same cat colony at the center but are out for blood and I cannot let them be in the same room together. It makes me sick that my home is now in chaos because I was misled to believe these two guys are compatible. I do not want to go home to a dead cat and I am trying everything I can to stop this. Sure would be nice if someone cared enough to reach out to me to provide advice from the Humane Society. I will never adopt from them again!!!

The staff here is WONDERFUL and you can tell everybody who works there truly cares about the animals. The facility is extremely clean and the animals look so happy and healthy. I've had the best experience adopting a cat from here, but a terrible experience at Capital Humane Society. Just know Pieloch is AMAZING, but dealing with Capital Humane Society is a terrible. You won't HAVE to deal with Capital Humane Society, but if your cat/dog has an issue within two weeks you have to take them to Capital Humane Society's vet.
