Philly Sports Bar & Grill

Good/solid bar food and great service. Lots of tv's with pool and darts. Enjoyed my philly with onion rings (which were better than they might look once dipped in cajun mayo).... My better half gave the club sandwich a "pretty good" recommendation. We will be back! - I haven't yet tried any of their wings but they offer the char buffed and double dipped variety which is really the only way to get them.

Noticble improvements with new owners in terms of atmosphere and cosmetics but service is somewhat slower and less engaged. Seems like they only care about sitting at the bar. Come out and help us out. My judgement. Food is ok. They changed their wings and phillys. ‍20-30% increase in prices means this place probably has lost my business.

Do not go here. With no set bartender schedule it's a gamble if you'll get one of the good ones. And if you get a bad one you'll realize you just overspent for that one drink you waited thirty minutes for. You won't order a second and you'll start planning your exit strategy and replacement bar before taking your first sip.

I'm sorry but this place has gone downhill. They use to have the best Phillies. We have ate our Phillies there the last 25 yrs. Now you barely get any meat. There's so much bread. You can literally push your meat and cheese to one side and tear off the other whole end of the bread. Ordered the Ruben and got 1 piece of meat on it. That's how bad it is. The cooks they have now totally suck. It's such a shame!

I came in tonight to Philly bar and grill to have dinner with my husband. We were told they were out of wings and steak for the philly cheese steak. We ordered the blt wrap with house chips. Blt wrap was good, got tortilla chips that were stale. I prefer the home made house chips. We also ordered chicken philly cheese with fries. This was really good. The waiter in the pink shirt took our order he was really nice. Though the other waitress that was working was loud and saying fing this and that the whole time. We did not get our drinks refilled or get out check until we had to ask for it at the bar. I do like the improvements that they have done to the bar. Though i would love to see a bit more organization and customer service. This is not the first time i have had this experience but hope it is the last. As i usually will give a place 3 attempts then if it continues i never go back. I just hope they can get better soon.

Service was nonexistent. The food was terrible! The philly was saturated with grease and the bread was toasted on the griddle and the only thing you could taste was the griddle. After two bites, I couldn't do anymore. My daughter had the wings, surprisingly they were the best thing. Our appetizer of potato skins , which was delivered after our entrees, were also terrible. They were potato wedges topped with a sheet of cheese and it was just a soggy mess. After receiving our disappointing entrees (exception of the wings) followed by our soggy appetizer. We were ready to leave. After waiting and waiting for the server, we had to go find someone so we could cash out. Overall, TERRIBLE service, Horrible philly, soggy potato wedges/skins?, but good wings.

Bartender is too busy taking shots than doing her job and even then she picks and chooses who she is going to pay attention to. One drunk bartender during a live band. Great job! Plenty of other bars in this town where you get live music cramped in a small, hot space but at least you'll get service elsewhere..

Not a Philly Sports Bar at all. If you're from the Philly area and thought this might be a Philly sports den with memorabilia and Philly foods like in other states. Its not. Just a public service announcement.

We arrived as soon as they opened and the bartender came right over to take our order, she seemed nice enough. She let us know the cook was on his way-no big deal-we understand being short handed. Ordered pretzel bites as an appetizer and they were very good. The french dips had a very very salty au jus-again not really a big deal. I let her know and she said she would remove them from the bill, we did not ask her to do this. She was great with the refills of drinks etc. However she must have told her friends in the bar about our comment regarding the au jus as they were sitting outside when we left and mentioned our comment and remarked that we probably didn't tip etc Lol we did tip the service was fine just odd experience I guess

WOW! What happened to the Philly's we all loved?I admit we have not had food here since covid. It is definitely not the same. The amazing cheesesteaks are no longer there. There were four of us and the food was not good. We waited over an hour for food and it was barely warm. The Philly was the toughest meat I had ever eaten. Chunks not shredded like before. The cheese burger my husband had was dried out and the fries are now coated. My son-in-law had a burger that was a ball of meat between two pieces of Texas toast. The meat was in the middle with3 inches of bread all the way around. It had an over cooked egg and Canadian bacon that wasn't even mentioned on the menu. The 10 tater tots he got was surprising. Yes, I counted them. The service was fine but this is a totally different restaurant. The food was not good. There was an event going on which could account for the wait but this experience was all on the cook.
