PepperJax Grill

I'm updating my review to add another star. I waited a LONG time before trying this place again after being underwhelmed previously. Well I went a couple months back and there has been a changeover in staff, definitely for the better. The gentleman taking orders at the counter that day could not have been more pleasant or attentive. So that experience stuck in my mind and brought me back in today when the craving for fries hit hard. Today there are two lovely young ladies holding down the fort, and doing it well, with courtesy and grace. One took my order and answered my questions regarding the menu, the other cooked my food, brought it to me and made sure I had everything I needed.

Great spot for a quick meal. Make sure to go over to the sauce bar where they have everything fromBBQ sauces to au jus and Asian jus and even gravy. I prefer the burrito bowl to go since you get more food than the to stay portion and it's already suited up to take the leftovers home with you. Not to mention the leftovers heat up great the next day!

I stopped in with friends while visiting Lincoln where I grew up to grab lunch and was quite happy I did!I had the Famous Steak Philly 'Fireballed' which means it was grilled in Jalapeno juice. Really delicious, great bread, great meat and great flavor - loved the sandwich and this is from someone who has lived in the Philly area for 25 years. Pepperjax's Philly can proudly stand up there with the best of them.Great service, great fries and overall a great experience!

Nice place for a quick meal So I've been to this place several times and I tried their chicken and steak Phillies and I loved the chicken. The best thing about it is that they have a special Cajun spices that is so good. I definitely recommend you talking the spicy ranch sauce on the side too. It is yummy. ENJOY !!!

Good cheesesteak sandwich. The sauces on the side go well with the food. Employees were nice and courteous, the place was clean, and I couldn't finish my fries after I got through with the cheesesteak. I will definitely be back.

I'm from out of town and I saw this place and thought it might be a good place to grab a bite to eat before a Huskers game. The people that work here are very nice and helpful however not impressed with the food. Very greasy both the fries and the cheesesteak. A plus is you get a lot of food for your money!

Very poor customer service. One person looked like they hated working their and was quite rude. Another person who took our order belittled me. The food was okay, but the restaurant was dirty and smelled funny.

If I could leave a review with a zero star, I would.Quite possibly the worst customer service I've experienced in quite some time.My coworkers went to order our lunches to go. I ordered the Loaded Nachos .The nachos I received were mostly lettuce and some liquid substance.The chips were stale.I called the location and asked to speak with the manager on duty.Instead of offering to replace my order, he began to get defensive, even telling me that there was no way the chips could be stale. He also said he was going to taste a chip while I waited on the phone so he could tell me if my chips were stale or not. He also told me they had made my nachos just as I had requested and he didn't know what I wanted him to do about it.It was at this point that I decided this is a place that I don't need to do business with. A company who will allow their management to argue with a customer instead of trying to resolve the problem and satisfy the customer doesn't deserve my business. Remember, Pepper Jax, there are plenty of places to eat in downtown Lincoln, NE, your food is decent to moderate at best, don't flatter yourselves into thinking you can continue to treat customers rudely and stay in business.
