I went to Paradigm at the recommendation of a coworker. Finding #4 perlite and bulk hydroton is difficult without paying inflated online prices. Paradigm is easy to find. I plugged it into my Maps app and got there fairly easily. We were greeted as we walked in and directed to the back for my houseplant goodies, but I ended up walking down most of the aisles because this place is a DREAMLAND of plants. I wish I could remember the name of the person who helped us, but he told me about his carnivorous plants and local plant sales in the area since I'm still fairly new to Omaha. Prices were very affordable comparing to online shops. It's difficult to make store comparisons as they really don't have much in the way of competition for most of the products. I thought they were reasonable and in some cases, significantly less expensive than I expected. Happy to give this place my business for all of my houseplant needs!

Family owned Paradigm Gardens has the best selection of edible plants (seeds and transplants), the best choice for natural or organic nutrients & soil, and the only store in the area that offers hydroponics and aquaponics equipment & supplies. They offer a bunch of general growing/gardening supplies and equipment, including lights, and even have some mushroom growing products. They offer the certified organic brand West Star Organics plants and their own plants are all grown by organic methods as well, although not certified yet. They have a decent selection of succulents and cacti too. They offer in-store classes and other educational events, their staff is friendly & knowledgable, and they offer great prices. All the educational magazines by the door are free, so take one!Their location is a bit hidden but not too hard to find and definitely worth the trip in.

They have just about everything, I have been very impressed with the extensive inventory, and the pricing is very fair. Heard of this place via word of mouth. They had things I thought I had to purchase online. You should always support your local business instead of having things shipped to your house! Employees have been very helpful with specific questions and situations, but like anywhere you can occasionally catch them at the wrong time, I've always been respectful and have had no issues like the Brit review, although I believe his story.

I drove up to your store today in Omaha as a first time customer to buy a substantial amount of equipment with cash. I arrived at your store around 11:45am and took time to view your products. After about 10 minutes of no one being in the storefront I proceeded to stick my head in the stock room door to find assistance. A gentleman saw me from the fork lift, so I politely went back to waiting in the store front. Approximately 5-10 minutes passed and I looked into the stockroom again and saw him working on the lift. I gave it another 5 minutes and went back for a third time and vocally called out for assistance. A few minutes later the gentleman finally came out and begrudgingly asked me what I wanted in a rude tone. I asked him for an apology for ignoring his customer especially a first time customer. Well he refused, I explained that I drove an hour and should not have been treated like that. He proceeded to make excuses that he could not help as he was working on a new delivery that just arrived. I told him that was bullshit, that the stuff in back is not going anywhere while a customer can just leave. He told me again he was very busy with stocking the place and ironically helping customers all by himself. I corrected him to confirm there were no 'customers', just myself (singular not plural) and he had let me wait 10 minutes plus.Your store had been open for nearly an hour so customers should be helped. He again refused to apologize at which point I told him he was a ' fucking wanker' (I'm British) and that I would not give him my business, he told me to leave as I swore. Well I swore out of pure justified frustration. He told me to leave the store, which I was already doing. He even had the audacity to yell his work list at my and why he's so stressed as I was literally walking out. I told him to 'Cry A River Princess'. You should check your security camera's to see that I was waiting an unreasonable amount of time and to see and hopefully there's audio.I don't like getting yelled at by a store worker, I don't like being treated with disrespect, and I certainly won't be back to your store. This was the single most rude incident I've ever experienced in a retail environment, and I worked retail for over a decade when I was younger. The employee was slight of build, white with dreadlocks. Upon reaching my car and getting ready for my hour drive home with nothing I needed I called your Wisconsin store and talked to the manager immediately. He was nothing but understanding and told me to E-mail you this situation. I know I'm just a single customer and a small fish in a big pond but that was disgusting!

I am so glad I found this place! I spent days searching nearby shops and calling around trying to find liquid seaweed for my plants. I encountered a garden center man who had never heard of it and gave me a funny look at Lowe's and vague negatives at the small nurseries I visited and telephoned. Paradigm Gardens explained they had MULTIPLE TYPES of liquid seaweed and I drove right over. They had exactly what I was looking for and then some. The helpful guy at the counter loaded me up with free magazines and catalogs and helped me pick out some pure neem oil (again, multiple types and brands), which I also hadn't been able to find anywhere except online. The store specializes in hydroponic, indoor and container gardening and has tons of organic products. There is a huge variety of specialty plant food, pest control products and equipment. In addition to the large rack of seedlings outside, there are an assortment of seeds and a sample indoor garden inside. You can also order from the website.Great stock, excellent customer service, and good prices!

Paradigm Gardens doesn't get enough notoriety. It's my favorite place to get things like growing media, fertilizers, lights, hydroponic supplies, and more. Their selection ranges from basic products for the hobbyist or casual grower to top-end systems for pros. It's a great place to shop if you just want to start some veggies indoors over the winter, or grow food hydroponically on a large scale. They have a great selection and a knowledgeable, friendly staff. I grow a lot of landscape perennials from seed during the winter, and Paradigm Gardens is always where I go first.
