I live in Midtown Crossing and am regularly awakened by Papillion trucks between 3am and 7am. They have zero regard for the city's noise regulations. Any time I call they claim it's a new driver who doesn't know the rules. This has been going on for years and has happened hundreds of times, so turnover must be extremely high or maybe they're simply lying to me.

Papillion Sanitation, a Waste Connection Company, bought out Premier Waste Solutions, a local company, earlier this year and since being forced to use Papillion our experience has been very bad. Missed pickups, price increases and reduced recycling pickups. I am paying more for less service and they are the only company that services my area other than Waste Management and they stopped residential recycling in the area. It has been a nightmare. We need another company to come in, I wish Abe's Trash Service would come to the area.

I needed residential trash pick up and went with Papillion Sanitation as there were so many companies to choose from and I falsely assumed they were locally owned (they've sold out to Waste Connection, the third largest trash conglomerate in North America). Once we started service, there were mix ups right and left. Days were missed, phone operators were disengaged and repeatedly gave us misinformation and we went weeks without pickups due to all of this. Then once items were actually picked up, I was disappointed by the negligence and sloppiness of the pick up operators. Every single time there was trash or recyclables that were dropped and not picked up.Thankfully, we've switched to Abe's. They have excellent customer service and the drivers take the time to pick up each time something escapes the bin.

First off, let me just say that we are new to this side of the state. Where we are from, we had three cans. One for recycle, one for trash and one for yard waste. It is taking me a bit to get used to the yard waste and trash are in the same can. The price is fair and the customer service is honestly one of the best I've had. They care for and about their customers. They have sent emails in regards to my birthday, the holidays and when I have a question, they are able to answer it with ease. Shannon, she helped me today with my questions and took time to explain things to a point that I fully understood. She was not quick to get me off the phone. I am not kidding you when I was a mess with questions. :P So I appreciate the patience. Plus the toddlers were a bit noisy as well. The trash guys that come pick up the cans are cautious and friendly. We have two boys who are 2 and 3.5 years young that love watching them come by. Last week, the trash man was watching in case I had a darting child, waved at them and told them to be safe and have a great week. Now for me this is big. Trash is exciting at this age. To see them engage with customers beyond a simple hand wave was nice to see. I look forward to their service in the future. I would highly recommend. My friends husband also works for them and seems to be very happy with his job. His wife says they take good care of them.

I've been a customer of Premier Waste Solutions (now Papillion Sanitation) for over five years and have generally been happy with their service. However, since February 2025, I've encountered an ongoing issue with the Hefty orange bags. Despite participating in the Hefty Renewal Program, they stopped collecting the bags. After missing two pickups, I reached out to customer service for clarification.The first response suggested that I 'put the bags in the green bin and they will be picked up.' However, our green bin is always completely full, so we've been placing the bags beside the bin. The second suggestion was to purchase an additional recycling bin for $14/month, as our green bin is consistently full. This would result in a 38% increase in my monthly bill, which feels like a steep price for an extra bin. The only other options offered were to either reduce recycling or find a new provider, which seems less than ideal after being a loyal customer for so long.While I appreciate the prompt reply from their team, I was disappointed with the lack of flexibility or alternative solutions. I hope they'll take customer feedback into account and consider more reasonable solutions for situations like this. Unfortunately, this experience has left me feeling like just a number and not a valued client.

I am the local leader for Wreaths Across America at Omaha National Cemetery. 9 years ago when the Cemetery opened, I called to ask if they would donate a dumpster so we would have a place to put the wreaths when they are retired, in the middle of January. Linda is who I talked to and they were more than happy to support our Veterans who are laid to rest at Omaha National Cemetery. We started with 250 wreaths and this year we had over 3700. Papillion Sanitation has provided us these dumpsters for the last 9 years and it is not 2 XL dumpsters. They always have the dumpsters delivered on time and pick up the same day so that we can keep our cemetery looking beautiful. I rarely complain about a service, however, i this case just wanted to let the people know. On this pick-up day, we moved a grand-child back into our house and had extra boxes and styrofoam packing from furniture we ordered. The boxes were broken down and styrofoam was placed around the trash to keep from blowing away. I want to say that we tipped both the driver and the loader for the extra work. I immediately got a call from the company saying they picked it up this time but never again. They actually had taken pictures of the extra trash and sent them to the "HOME OFFICE". So after talking to the representative, it was determined that the company does NOT suggest "tipping" their employees. I advised that I would no longer tip their employees, THIS INCLUDES ALL TIPS. (CHRISTMAS $50; THANKSGIVING $50 and NEW YEARS $25) Which I have done for many years.

Absolute worst trash and recycling service. They bought out Premier Waste which was amazing. You pay for their service and Papillon won't pick up anything outside of the bins. Premier would take everything. They miss recycling often and complain if boxes aren't broken down into 2x2 bundles. Who bundles boxes that small? What are we paying them for? 0/10. Would not recommend.

PS, a conglomerate, recently bought Premier, a local company - which we switched to in order to get rid of PS. Phone operators are unengaged, and lack even basic customer service skills. Rather than field questions, inquiries are referred back to the customer to search their website or get their app.Recycling is now every other week, and they missed our last pickup . . . which means it's been a month since they picked up recyclables, and the bin is overflowing.I called Abe's, a LOCAL SERVICE that has been in business for 60 years. A human being with pleasant phone etiquette answered the phone. Their price is a little cheaper, and they pick up every week. I would much rather support a local business, so I'm switching.
