My 1989Mitsubishi 3000 GT SL!

I have had my 1998 Mitsubishi 3000 GT SL for 16 years now! I take great care to keep it looking new! I needed a new exhaust for it and took it to an exhaust shop that was not interested in keeping it as close to original as I wanted. I had just had my car painted twice now with Todd at Muscle Car Concepts and Restoration here in Lincoln. He does great work! I told him that I needed a new exhaust and was not happy at the place that I just went to here in Lincoln. Todd told me that his brother could do my exhaust. His brother, Gary owns Otto Performance, also here in town. I thought, wow, great! I know he would help me, since he is trust worthy and reliable! I went to Gary's shop right away. He is very knowledgeable and a kind man. I explained my situation to him and he got me in as soon as he could. He was even able to locate the right parts for my car since it is hard to come by parts for my car model. He explained how my exhaust was and what he could do to make it work the best! I am impressed! I have my baby back home and want to thank both of the brothers for their awesomeness! I will continue to go to both places for all of my car needs from now on! With great thanks!

If you know Gary, you know that he runs his shop with a people-first mentality. He's knowledgable, generous, honest, and kind. He goes above and beyond to serve his customers in a timely fashion, and to do so while delivering the most cost-effective, high-quality work. He strikes a good balance of diagnosing problems, sharing what work must be done, and using parts that last. I left with a hug and kept thinking, "You know you've found a good mechanic when you're worried about being under-charged." I saw how hard Gary works, and wanted to be sure he and his team were being compensated well for the amazing work they do. I met Gary when I found myself struck on the side of the freeway traveling through Lincoln, Nebraska, 21 hours into my trip from Arizona to Minnesota. Though late in the day, Gary was quick to say they'd be able to look at my vehicle. That night, he generously offered me a ride to my hotel and picked me up the next morning. When my vehicle continued to have problems, he was quick to rescue me off the freeway yet again, and continued to diagnose the cascade of issues it was having due a faulty alternator. I remained in Lincoln for 5 days as we waited on parts and discovered new issues. On my drive home, Gary called twice to make sure that the vehicle was running well and I was safely on my way home to Minnesota. During my time in Lincoln, I was able to see Gary's love of cars and problem solving, though what was most obvious was his care and compassion for those who came into his shop. When they couldn't deliver a part until the next day, Gary went to get it. When we discovered that we needed a second key to program my new PCM, he jumped in the car and off we went. When a customer needed to drop off their rental, he offered to follow them and pick them up, ensuring that she didn't have to figure out another plan to get her vehicle back. When a customer needed their car on Monday, he came in at the crack of dawn on Sunday to get it done. He showed the same care and compassion for each person and each vehicle, from the many restored vintage cars that fill his shop, to the hotrods with more power than I can comprehend, to the 11 year old trucks like my own. I think the hardest part about meeting Gary is that I have a new standard for finding a mechanic close to home. Had I ended up at a different mechanic, I can only imagine how stressful those 5 days of extensive car repairs would have been. Instead I can truly say that my time in Lincoln, Nebraska was a blessing.A big thank you to Gary and Adam for the many hours of work they put into my vehicle, especially while still taking care of the other vehicles that had scheduled repairs. And thank you to their families, as I know that helping me out led to some later nights and longer weekends at the shop. Words cannot accurately sum up my gratitude, so I'll just keep repeating myself: Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Gary and his technicians are honest, conscientious people. They take pride in their work and it shows.I know when I come here I am going to be treated with respect and the work will be top quality.Gary is transparent with pricing options and will work with you to make sure you get what is necessary for your situation without trying to oversell or pressure you into fixing what can wait. You can get an estimate and think it over without feeling obligated to decide right away.If you are looking for premium welding work, Gary and his apprentices are very skilled. My 3" exhaust looks and sounds great, and I have seen firsthand the precision of other work they have done.Alignments, tires, suspension... I have been very happy with the work they have done on my cars as these are not things I could easily do on my own. I am a repeat customer for these in particular. Only the best parts, fresh tires, no junk. When doing work, if there is something of concern noticed during inspection, they will let you know what is going on and the severity, but there is no pressure to fix it unless you are ready. Also, the classic/antique vehicle restoration work going on here is absolutely amazing to see. They are able to transform even a "lost cause" shell of a vehicle into total showpiece. No corners cut, the detail is exquisite. They work on literally anything with a motor and/or wheels.Good people, truly a family business, highly recommended.

Veteran owned business.Smoke free environment.Skilled, honest, and personable. Gary is awesome. This dude is straightforward and his work is seriously of the highest caliber. Pristine restorations and the type of mechanic that you can trust will not ruin your car with shoddy repairs or parts just to get you back in again. This guy's work ethic, as well as his knowledge and experience with cars, is SOLID -that reminds me so much of how my dad was. People like that are hard to find these days. He truly goes above and beyond to do the job right and take care of his customers.Generally, I maintain and repair my own cars so I'm very cautious with who I trust to do the complex or specialized work I am unable to do myself. I needed some work done on my recently acquired 1966 Impala SS. Being new to owning a classic car and being very protective of this investment, I did my research. After asking around and calling a few places in town I decided to go meet Mr. Otto. I don't trust easily, but but after talking with him on the phone and then visiting his shop, I quickly found that Gary is the real deal and decided to bring my vehicle in for some necessary work.My Impala was in major need of an alignment because of some work done by a previous owner. The tires were in bad shape and steering was all over the place. I brought the wheels in, Gary mounted some new tires, then I scheduled to get it aligned. The front end was a mess, even with the new tires. Then I saw it for myself on the computer and firsthand during the process. The car has no power steering, so the improvement was very noticeable. Cruising on a straightaway at 60 mph on my way home, I could let go of the wheel (trained stunt driver, do not attempt) and the car traveled on perfectly straight. Driving, overall, was smooth, I barely needed to guide or fight with the steering, especially in and out of turns. After working with Gary, I can honestly say that I trust him with my car, and that is really saying a lot. I will be going back for sure, and also bringing my daily drivers in if there is something I cannot do on my own.If you have questions about your vehicle he will answer them, straight up. Talking shop with this guy is very rewarding, he's got over 30 years of expertise. His employees are lucky to be able to work alongside him. Tires - If you need tires, he will get you a good deal on some fresh tires, I was very happy with what he got me.Fair Prices - If you are on a budget, he will work with you to get parts and work done within your range instead of sticking you with the most expensive stuff or fixing something that does not need it or can wait.Alignments - If you have a classic car of any type, go to Gary to get your alignment done. He has a specific system for antique vehicles. If you are putting in a new front end, just bring the car in and let him do the job right. I would have him align my newer cars as well after seeing this process.Show Car Restorations - If you want to invest some money in a top of the line trophy car restoration or whatever, you definitely want this guy doing the work. Check out his portfolio of work on his website and his Facebook pages. Seeing some of the cars he has worked on in person, I was amazed at the attention to detail and craftsmanship.I'm not sure if there is really anything Gary cannot do, this dude is a natural engineer. Thanks again Gary!
