OPPD truck blocking both lanes of the Market to Midtown bikeway, because they can.
The crew finally cleaning up and taking out the old piece of post off my property
New post is up in time for dinner
First truck showed up quickly and realized oh s***
You can see the post hanging freely from the suspension cables
It's nice when they see two people working side-by-side
The base of the electric post that got hit by a car

I had an emergency. I reached Stephanie Kinman at OPPD, and she went above and beyond. Due to my mistake, my utilities went off and were not converted back to me after a tenant moved out. Turns out I didn't fill out the paperwork I needed to. Stephanie assessed my problem, advised on the issue, how to solution for the future, and moved quickly to support me. I had a showing on the house on Sunday and it was urgent to have power! She took ownership of the problem, was very patient with me and worked it through to resolution (power on). Wow!! I hope someone at OPPD gives her a big raise and recognition for exemplifying the customer experience they want to deliver. She is a true asset to this organization and gave me an incredible experience. Kudos Stephanie!!!

OPPD obviously thinks theyare above the law, and they're probably right. Here's one of their trucks parked in the bikeway despite plenty of available parking a few feet away.

We were having issues with our power, called in to have someone come out and tech Jeremy showed up helping get a tree limb cut away from the main line! He was very helpful, accommodating and got to work cleaning the line and checked the connection and all good! thank-you OPPD and Jeremy for being prompt and taking care of our issue!

Early on a Sunday I went outside an noticed something was wrong with power line in my yard. It sagged a bit lower than normal and there was a big piece of pole in my yard. Taken aback I surveyed the scene and determined that a vehicle came onto the sidewalk, stuck the pole, drove through my yard and got back into the street. The pole was obliterated. Basically broken off at the ground.I called OPPD outage line and after a brief hold told Erica what had happened. Within 20 or so minutes a truck was out and he realized that it was just a bulb change like he thought.Maybe an hour later 5 trucks show up and the have a new pole on a trailer. The guys were very professional and patient with me for all my questions. They told me the plan of action and got right to work. They couldn't get the leftover piece of pole out of the ground, but still were able to dig a deep hole and set the new pole.I was informed that they would have to cut power to safely work on it and I was without power for a bit over an hour. No big deal.A huge shout out to the guys! No smoking, cussing, griping about Sunday work, nothing but pros at the job. Thank you Scot D, Kelly T, Trey M, and Aaron P!

Definitely wish that there were other options, but if you live here.... this is all you got. Fairly recently had an outage in our neighborhood, which was reported at 430 on a Sunday. Of course, you can't reach a real person, so all you get is automated prompt that says the issue will be resolved at 730. 730 came and went.... no OPPD!!!!! My kids had to bath by candlelight, and sleep in the living room because there was no central air. Definitely not a fan, but there's literally no other option if you live in Omaha.

OPPD is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Every time you talk to someone you get a different answer and terrible customer service. They know they can treat you like garbage because you have to use them if you want power. They can pack on the charges but can't explain what they are for.

The bus stop street light on 30th and Farnam has not been working for 9 months. Poor quality, poor maintenance, never can follow through with what person tells you over the phone. Disgrace to Omaha

I just got my first apartment and as that was supposed to be an amazing time with inflation has come a lot of stress. I know I am not the only one struggling with this. But getting new appliances and everything like that was a pain. I then get all my bills set up and was so proud of myself. A month goes by and I have noticed its about time to pay my electricity bill I go to PAY IT EARLY only to find out I cant log in. I call that next Monday and ask whats up. Only to find out that they have froze my account. They said " we really caution people about using banks like this" I was like wtf do you mean I use chime HALF OF MY GENERATION USES CHIME. They said they got ahold of my bank DAYS before my bill was due and my bank notified them I had insufficient fund. WAS NOT TRUE I HAD MONEY IN THERE MY CARD WAS PAUSED. I then get told that my next bill will be this months light bill plus late fee as well as $200 deposit and next months light bill. Totaling to about $400. I THINK ITS SICK TO EVEN THINK PEOPLE HAVE THAT TYPE OF EXTRA MONEY TO JUST BE ABLE TO PAY THAT NO PROBLEM. Its hard just to eat out here. ON TOP OF THAT I NEVER RECEIVED ANY FORM OF NOTIFICATION FROM OPPD THEY HAVE MY EMAIL THEY HAVE MY PHONE NUMBER WHY WAS I NEVER NOTIFIED??? OPPD is a disgusting company. YOU WILL FIND BETTER ELSE WHERE KEEP LOOKING BECAUSE THIS COMPANY ISN'T IT AT ALL (also customer service is ass, rude asf)

The only service they provide is answering the phone. After that the service stops. Had issue between OPPD payment processor and my bank but all "Customer Service" said was its my banks problem - bank blames OPPD. No one will mediate to determine the problem. Service starts once there is a problem, not when everything is operating smoothly.

Got a call from OPPD that our power in Arlington will be shut off for 6 hours next Tues. Nov 8 to replace/repair equipment in the village. I have an elderly mother who I care for and she has a Dr appointment that day that I will have to try to get her ready for in a dark house. I realize they have to shut off for a period, as they did the other day at 4:30am for 2 hours (a reasonable time frame), however this on Tues. is excessive. OPPD has apparently shut down their "talk to a human" phone lines (all I get is static), hence the reason for a one star rating. Not good for customer relations, but they no we have no recourse as they have no competition.
