I hadn't ever been to the Arboretum but frequently drive past. I decided to give it a whirl with my mom friend and our kids while we had a warmer day this winter. It is a very large area spanning from Blondo to the inner state with many different trails and paved paths. The reason I'm more of a 4 vs. a 5 is because paths aren't super clearly marked and it will change from paved, to wood chips, to gravel. A bonus if you need a place to hang with your pet is that they allow dogs!

I recently visited the OPPD Arboretum, and it's such a nice place for a walk. It's perfect for walking dogs and family strolls. The area is really quiet, which makes for a peaceful experience. I even made it to the top of the hill, and the view was lovely. Overall, it's just a nice spot to relax and enjoy nature.

Nice walking trail in the city. Located off 108th and Blondo. This location has attached parking but fills up quickly. We opted to do the paved trail and the dirt trail. We spent about 30 mins walking the different trails. On this occasion, the leaves were changing rapidly. Very scenic views. We saw an engagement, family photos, baby bump announcement, wedding and senior photography sessions. It was fun to see all the family fun activities. Paw parents are welcome to bring their furry pets but please bring doggie bags. I didn't see any on the trail but there was ample trash cans. All in all, good way to get some fresh air. Reduced to 4 stars because loud noises from 680. Also I would like to read more about the plants that were planted.

Small park to walk around, came here on a weekday afternoon, plenty of parking (nobody else there). Trees are dead as expected, has some trails that aren't too long. Nice spot to walk around, although there is street noise.

Interesting place - I had no idea it was even there. I would suggest checking it out if you are interesting in checking out the trees and such. It was a warm day when I went - so it made me walk less and rush through it. But this is a pretty nice place - I will probably check it out again when it is a little cooler.

I had both my newborn and family photos as well as my wedding photos here. Both at different times of the year and the backdrops are just gorgeous. You would never guess there is a giant power grid very near you. It's always full of people but not in a messy or overwhelming way. Otherwise it's a lovely park to stroll through on a date or with your family.

Visited recently for the first time while scouting out potential picture locations and really enjoyed walking through it. Kind of a nice hidden oasis right in the middle of town. About a mile worth of trails and plenty of little spots for a family picture or something similar. There were a few families there with littles ones and it was nice seeing them enjoy themselves outdoors. It's a beautiful spot worth a visit if you are in the area. So, why not five stars? As nice as the location is, I just couldn't get past the noise. To the east, you've got traffic noise from 680 and to the west you get the humming sounds of the power plants that are right there. I understand this is kind of nitpicky but it's enough of a distraction to me that I cannot say it's as good as it gets. But, it is still worth a visit.

One of my favorite places to go for pictures, as a photographer. So many different places and different backdrops for photos all in one area. Also a great place to take kiddos or dogs for a walk!

visited for the first time today over the lunch hour. What a great oasis in the middle of Omaha. The interstate can be a little loud, but if you let it go, the birds will distract you. I'll be back!
