Omaha vacuums stood behind their product! When a switch wasn't working on a vacuum I had purchased there a few years ago, they were professional and helpful. The vacuum was fixed in a day, and there was no charge, since I had purchased it there and had to wait for the repair. I recommend this local, Omaha business!

the guy that works here is by far the rudest individual I have had met. I had my product replaced by the manufacturer and he had nothing but negative comments about the products he sells. go elsewhere

The gentleman was friendly when I dropped off the vacuum. But when I went to pick it up it kind of gave me a hassle I got home and put my vacuum away. Few days later pulled it out to vacuum my rug and yep the motor comes on but nothing else works, fabulous. Don't think I'll take anything anything there again.

WARNING TO ALL! I had been going to Omaha vacuum on a recommendation of a good friend whom is very knowledgeable regarding vacuum cleaner maintenance and care. I actually had my machine serviced yearly as a Miele is a very expensive vacuum to replace. Recently, my power head just stopped turning on, so as usual, I took it to Omaha Vacuums to take a look at it, calling ahead the day before. When I arrived Kevin the owner began to look at it and in the meantime proceeded to recommend several different NEW vacuums that I should "try" while I waited for the verdict on the condition of my Miele. He took mine in the back and still pushed the option of getting a new vacuum on me even harder. Not knowing what it would need, of course you weigh the price of repair vs new, especially with an older unit. Needless to say he appeared from the back stating my machine was broken, the circuit board was shot and the power head itself not functional and broken as well. He then proceeded to tell me how my Miele was not a good machine compared to the "Simplicity" machine, which he was trying to push on me with a tag of $1399.00. To even sweeten the deal he offered to "throw in" a cordless stick vac he said was worth $399.00. I was shocked. I understand an investment in a good vacuum is important but not for $1399.00. He was definitely taking the fact I would be without a vacuum and used it to try to convince me I should buy one right there and then. I politely declined and left the store. However, having nothing to loose seeing I was now in possession of a "dead" vacuum I went to The House of Vacuums on S 119th Street for a second opinion. Upon my arrival he took my machine tested it in front of me several times and tested each component separately and determined all I needed was a new hose with a price tag of only $165.00 which he could order and have in the store in a few days. Not once did he try to sell me a vacuum or comment in a negative way about the machine I had brought in. Again I was in total shock that Omaha Vacuum not only lied to me about what was wrong with my machine but took advantage of my situation and tried to SCAM me into an unnecessary purchase which potentially could have cost me $1399.00 even with the deal he was "offering that day". He should be ashamed of himself for doing business this way. Even if a customer did ask about a new vacuum to lie about what was wrong was very unprofessional. I am posting this because, in most cases, women go to the repair shops with their small appliances and should not feel intimidated to purchase something based on a flat out lie just so the business can make a sale. It seems today you now not only need second opinions for medical conditions but now also for small appliances. I would like to add that the person who had referred me to Omaha Vacuum had no idea this was how this person conducted business, however I can assure you after further investigation its seem to be the norm. PS I received the new hose and guess what? My machine is as good as new!

Honest. Fair. Really nice guy runs the shop. My vacuum was old and beyond repair. Doug made me a great deal on a new one and gave me $50 for my old one. Small business owner. I love doing business with people like this.
