They stated they were going to put credit on to my account for July. The month of July they stated I never had the credit.
Proof of her stating she was going to put it as credit.

op dance classes. The owner was supposed to call and discuss details of the class, but never did. No big deal. Once the classes began, we were snowed out the first two weeks, which obviously wasn't anyone's fault. We went to our first class and my wife decided that it just wasn't for her, so I tried to cancel. I was told that I could only cancel by speaking to the owner. Ummm, okay. I tried to call the business owner, but she never got back to me. Eventually, someone at the front desk told me that she could cancel our membership, but that we'd still have to pay for the next month, because we missed the drop date. Keep in mind, we've taken ONE CLASS at this point. I explained that I thought that it was quite unreasonable to charge us $320 for ONE CLASS(!), so she told me I'd have to talk to the owner. You're never gonna believe this, but the owner hasn't responded to this day and so I paid $320 for my wife and I to take a single, quite lame dance lesson. Kudos to you Omaha School of Music and Dance. You sure conned me. This is how failing businesses conduct themselves and I can't wait to watch you go under.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. But at this point I don't really know how else to reach out. We attended OSMD for about two months. And they can say they "tried to help" all they want. But personally I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Guaranteed prisoners get talked to better than what we've experienced here. Now to set the record straight, I adored the teachers, they were super nice and just incredible. Management . Well that is there is somehow only one manager. And she will refuse to let you talk to anyone else and will be just rude over the phone and not say anything in person. When we signed up it was online, but when I had questions about the classes later on, I was told it was my fault for not calling to register . Like then why offer it online? Anyways, so I left a note to speak with someone else beside this manager. And word got to this person and they called and were just so offended and defensive over me wanting to bring into light the issues I had while we attended. Such as stating "The owner of this building wouldn't talk to you anyways" or that their director somehow doesn't handle anything important with this business. Like if you don't want people to unenroll and leave bad reviews, then just offer literally anyone else for them to talk to who has better customer service experience . Even if they have no real pull or anything important they do, just anyone nice and professional. Also don't talk smack about your other Yelp reviewers. Just saying. I'm hoping the owner of this business writes back to this and not that said person who caused the issuesAlso to shine light on this other problem. They record your conversations and don't tell you. So keep an eye out !

OSMD is such an amazing school for the arts. My oldest has been going for over 2 years and I recently enrolled my 3 year old in classes. The teachers are amazing, caring, and patient with the kids. My kids have any and all opportunities to try out anything they've ever been curious to try. The employees are very courteous and responsive to questions and/or emails. This is the school for anyone needing flexibility in dates and times.

The only ones benefiting from this "school of dance" are the owners - who you will never meet - likely because they are too ashamed to face you after charging you outrageous prices to provide an hour of childcare under the guise of dance instruction. If you do send your child, be sure not to invite anyone to the "recital". It's cringeworthy and you will be embarrassed. Also, don't do "dance camp" which is mostly movies and crafts, with a bit of watching the instructor dance and the kids trying to imitate (with no correction).

This school is extremely unprofessional and racist! My daughters were the only two black girls in their class for Ballet I & Kindercombo. My youngest felt like she was being treated unfairly every time she went. They wanted my youngest daughter to stay in till after recital to make them look good for their yearly recital. This month they told me I owed them money when Annie stated that she was going to put the credit on to my account and never did. Would I recommend this school? No! Racism & taking people money is wrong! Luckily I saved all my emails and had a screenshots because otherwise they would keep lying and taking extra money out my account. Well today they dropped my kids and I honestly couldn't be happier because of the headache. The owner also stated she will refund me for the month but has no record of credit card on file for me after canceling my daughter. I will be taking this to Better Business Bureau.

I would never take my child there as they like contuing to charge you long after your child quit dance there and they seem to think that's ok to keep charging. The need to deal with the better business bureau. So people watch yourselves.

Signed up for free classes and told them I would be leaving in November and they continued to charge my card for months afterwards. When I called to dispute it Amanda said they don't do free classes. On top of that every time my husband and I brought the kids in for the "free" classes staff was very impersonal and did not talk to us or the kids when we were in there - they are happy just getting card numbers. Now that I'm seeing others experiencing the same thing I wonder if there is something we can do? When I called Amanda about the charges she said there was nothing she could do even though my kids were out of state the entire time the charges were taking place, when I told her I would be disputing the charges through my bank she let me know that "lots of people try that and it doesn't work".

They have a cancellation police requiring people to come into their facility to cancel services. This is the opposite of being accommodating during a pandemic. They also continued to charge us for services they never provided, even though we had spoke and canceled on the phone. Never heard a place so adamant that they need a signature to STOP withdrawing money from accounts. It's another way for companies like this to add extra money to their profits each month. You'd think these places would value their customers given the pandemic, but instead they look for ways to take advantage. It's a shame, we really did like the teachers there but we will never go back.

I strongly recommend everyone to keep away from this school! When I was enrolling our three years old girl into three classes the director Amanda didn't tell us they were preparing for recital. She charged us the recital money from us!! Our daughter started their classes but we saw that there are no kids in her age and classes are upper level. Also they are working on piece for the recital they've been learning for some time now/. So Amanda told us a couple LIES!!! My husband and I called today to cancel and get a refund for the recital fee but Amanda got frustrated with us! Also she said a couple two year olds are attending our daughter's one dance class but there are no two years olds! That dance class' teacher approved that, too. We called the credit card company and filled a fraud case against them.
