I had never been here before, but was struggling to schedule a massage anywhere else, and was able to get in here with a couple weeks notice which is hard in this area!Unfortunately, the massage was not nearly as nice as other places I've been. This was half the cost, so really, you get what you pay for, but I probably will not be back. The scheduling was easy, the building and room I was in for both great, but you can very much tell. The staff is in a school setting. The girl who did my massage struggled to make conversation on the way to our room, she was definitely trying! But not yet comfortable with your customers it seemed. The massage itself had all the elements of a normal massage, going over all normal areas, but the pressure was less than half a normal deep tissue massage. I get a massage to help with muscle tension, and felt like this was just a 'Feel good' 90 minutes. It felt nice in the moment, but did nothing for my muscles. I was not at all sore afterward as I am each time I get a massage elsewhere.I would recommend this place to someone getting a massage purely for relaxation, but I will not go again for a deep tissue massage.

Hmm.I like Midwest SchoolOf massage. I had the worst massage of my life today by a student. Make sure you ask questions about the masseuse before you book with that person especially if you like your massage a certain way. Ex: full body, deep pressure...etcI know they're students but come on this guy sucked ass. I don't think that it's his calling.

I am a regular taker of massage. I have a few massage therapists I adore but will admit I am cheap and therefore go to the massage school (usually UCHA). I thought I would try this school just to stir things up a bit. I hadn't heard anything about it except that an old neighbor went there.I made my appointment which was scheduled in the evening. First off, it was difficult to find. It is almost in a residential area, but in sort of a strip mall that I drove by.The lobby was adequate, more like a physician's office than a massage place. My student therapist was AWFUL!! I told her what I liked and she just did a terrible job. Now, I understand that she was a student. That is why they have you fill out forms where you give feedback. I even said I would like to have someone contact me to go over my review but noone did. I found it cold and horrible. And I forgot to say that during my massage, I could hear what I assume were other students talking outside my therapy room. BAD BAD BAD!!!

What greater way to relax and ease your muscles than a great massage at a great price? An affordable luxury that I have grown to love when I'm able to. At $35 for a one hour massage from a student the kinks and knots are gradually eased away as relaxing music plays in the background. I've gone a few times already and so far it has done wonders to my shoulders and back. It's been a great experience so far and I look forward to going back. I highly recommend the Omaha School of Massage if you don't mind seeing a student, it's an affordable luxury you can enjoy every once in awhile. If you want to see a licensed therapist at the school it's $55 for one hour. I suggest booking early as they do get full quickly especially towards the weekend. It's located just behind the Hy-Vee on 96th and Q streets, has ample space for parking and the staff are professional friendly. So, if you're feeling a bit knotty go ahead and give Omaha School of Massage a call and book your appointment to get those knots loosened up! Your body will thank you later!

I just wanted to take a moment to give everyone a review, but coming from the student's perspective. There are a few things that I wish everyone could know before they book an appointment here. The first important thing: just like most places that do massage, if you book an hour, your hands on time with your therapist is only 50-55 min. We have to have time to let you get dressed/undressed, and to clean the table after you leave. I'm not saying it's good or bad, that's just standard practice in the massage world. (30 min is actually 20-25; 90 min is actually 80-85; so technically, you get more for your money by booking 90 min, and you can still get that full body massage and have an area or two that we can focus on).Second: if you find a student you really like, you can request them, it's always great for us to see we have a repeat client, because that means we did a great job. And no tipping! Just rebook with us, that's how you can show your appreciation of the job we did.Third: on busier days (Fridays and Saturdays), there's a very good chance you will be in the clinic room. This room is a large room where we actually have our classes and there are curtains to section off the "rooms." Yes, you can hear everything, and most of the time we try to be as quiet as possible, but it's just a curtain, so yeah, you hear everything. If you don't want that room, try booking Monday through Thursday, between 9am-1pm, or 6pm-9pm. That's when we have classes, so if there's a new group of students starting their massage classes, this room won't be available, because students will be holding class in there.Fourth: deep tissue: it is an elective course here. That means that we don't have to take it to graduate, and even if we do sign up for it, we may not have had that class yet. We all get a brief introduction before we ever massage a paying client, but some of us are more skilled than others, and no it has nothing to do with size of the person, it's all physics and using your body correctly. If you really want deep tissue, ask for an LMT that day, not a student. (But to be perfectly honest, providing deep pressure is completely different from true deep tissue massage, but that's for a different time and place.)Fifth: Please speak up! You won't hurt our feelings. We are students, and we may have learned a new technique that we are trying out. We won't know if it's good or bad unless you tell us. We don't know if the pressure is enough or too much unless you tell us. And we don't know if you like or hate having your: glutes(butt), feet, scalp, legs, etc. worked on, unless you tell us. So please communicate with us if there's something that feels really good or really bad.Lastly: (and this goes for ANY massage business ANYWHERE in the U.S.) we are not a "masseur" or a "masseuse" we are therapists! And it is a table not a "bed!" And it is a massage business/establishment not a "parlor!" Saying any of those words will get you on our bad side REALLY quick! :)Once I graduate, I know I'll be coming here to get massages, because you can't beat the rates, and by the time the student has reached the point of working on clients, they've already had 128 hours of practice in class plus tested out with a licensed therapist and been given the ok to be working on the public. Obviously I've had the experience of having a lot of the students work on me, (since we practice on each other), and most students are top notch!

Let's get one thing clear: this is the Omaha /School/ of Massage Therapy. You absolutely not going to get a fully certified masseur with 12,000 hours logged. What you are going to get, however, is a (probably) great massage for less than half of what it would cost anywhere else.Obviously, not everyone is a great student, you might get someone who sucks and have bad massage, but it's not very likely. I understand that a lot of training is needed even to get to the point where they get to touch customers. Most of the time the massages are in a shared room that is cordoned off with curtains, so other people will hear you talking to your masseur and you will hear other people talking to theirs. One thing that I should point out, is that if you require a good strong massage, you probably need to ask for a guy (assuming you aren't weirded out by that sort of thing). I like my massages rough, and it seems like the girls are all these little 70lb waifs who couldn't give me a decent massage if they /walked/ on my back. My first few massages went like this:"How's the pressure?" "Harder please""How about now" "um... harder"[so on and so forth]Overall, this is a great place to get a cheap massage. But remember: you get what you pay for. More often than not the people do a great job, but you might get that one kid who just scraped by in class, good thing it was cheap. So the stars go like this 3 stars because the experience is reasonable; +1 because it's cheap.

I love this school! As a student here, it is definitely the best educational experience I have had! If you are looking to attend this school to start on your career, I 100% believe that will be the best decision you could make! The teachers amazing and personable. The program is aggressive enough to keep you on your toes. The staff outside of the teachers are also great mentors! There are some things as a student that I can be nick picky on, but they are not worth discussing here and are already being changed for the better as I type this! As someone who comes here to get massages, I totally recommend it! The prices are very reasonable! You pay about half of what a Licensed Massage Therapist charges! It's a great experience to find out which student you feel has the most potential to be your Massage Therapist for life! And the opportunity to offer feedback really helps aspiring Massage Therapist to continue learning. It's a clean building, has great private rooms, a very efficient clinic room, and the students will always try to accommodate to the best of their ability!

At $35 for an hour-long massage, you can't beat these prices. Yes, you will have a student who will not be as experienced as other places. And yes, if you come during peak times you will be in a large room in a curtained off section, just feet away from other people (this has only happened to me once, on a Saturday, and I have to say, the moaning and groaning from the guy getting a massage next to me was pretty entertaining). Otherwise you will have a private room to yourself (with no voyeuristic eavesdropping opportunities, sorry). I've found that if you are are explicit with the student and tell them exactly what you want, you'll get your money's worth. For me, I have to assure them several times that I like A LOT of pressure before they will believe me. If you find one that you like, you can call and request that student for your next massage. FYI: You pay at the desk when you arrive, and no tipping is allowed! Afterwards they will bring you water and sometimes ask you to fill out a feedback form. Overall they are very friendly and helpful!

Even though these are only students. They do a great job! It is soothing and very relaxing. I was hesitate at first because they were only "students", but oh it was one of the best massages I've ever had. I wanted to give a tip and was told I was not allowed to. After I left I thought to myself, the "pro's" had to start somewhere. To say the least I was pleasantly surprised.

I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment. There seemed to be quite a bit of activity in the back. There was no sense of urgency. 10 min after my scheduled I went to the front desk to verify my appointment time. 5 min later, the student therapist took me back to the room. The temperature outside was 4 degrees. The temperature in the room was very cold. Only a thin sheet on the table underneath me and one covering me. I asked for an extra blanket and I was still cold. It would've been nice to have had a warmer underneath me or more blankets. The student therapist was wonderful but I wasn't able to thoroughly enjoy my 1 1/2 hr massage.
