While it's not simple to find, it's worth the effort. The location, itself, is at the top of the First National Bank building. One must find parking there or nearby. Entry is by elevator in the center of the building. The business is attractive and well-decorated. The bar is excellent. The view is amazing. Worth the price of drinks. Been there twice. Will return.

Attended an awards ceremony here. Super cool place. The design of the space feels retro in a way that's classy and timeless. Because it was winter, it was already dark by the time I got there and I didn't get a very good chance to see the view. Not sure if the food was their regular menu or special banquet food, it was mostly heavy appetizers. It was all good, but nothing too special. The fried ravioli had meat inside and was not labeled, a vegetarian friend unknowingly bit into one - that was not great. Food was a buffet but servers were friendly and attentive to clearing tables. The christmas lights added a lot to the vibe; it gave it such a magical feel like walking into an old movie scene. There were some sections where it seemed the lighting was a little harsh rather than moody, but I was lucky enough not to be sitting in any of them.

The views of Omaha are great! I like the outdated atmosphere, with the big circular fireplace. I realize it's not for everyone. I can't really speak for the food items. My husband and I shared their signature Thunderbird Salad, which really is enough for two, it's that big. We enjoyed it. The reviews for the food here seems to be hit and miss. We had good luck with the salad. The service we had was excellent. It's a private club, we're not members, but they let us in anyway. I teach and had a long, horrible week at work along with doing parent-teacher conferences. I wanted to do something somewhat celebratory, plus my husband had never been. So then I told them my little sob story, they let us in, and got wonderful service. I think the bartender gave me "generous" pours of wine too. Everyone should go at least once if you get the chance. Go, have a cocktail, watch the sunset, and enjoy the views. I would love to get the opportunity to go back during the holiday season and see all the lights.

In summary: Awful service, awful food, and I'm worried some of it was not the appropriate temperature a health department would recommend for serving food.Yes, this restaurant is on the 22nd floor of a building in Omaha. Therefore, the views are nice looking across the city and well into Iowa. The view is the only nice thing here. My in-laws are members and brought me here my very first visit to Omaha 6 years ago. All I can remember being unimpressed with this "fancy dinner club" (yes that is sarcasm), and the steaks were terrible.Fast forward six years to 2018... my in-laws invite us to Easter brunch. I mean it's brunch, how can you screw that up? So we agreed to go with them. Bad idea. The decor is weird. It tries to be nice with linen tablecloths, but there are caricatures on the walls. We stood around at 12:30 for our 12:30 seating for a good 5-10 minutes without seeing any employees to guide us to our table. Eventually seated and got drinks ordered, the Bloody Mary here means vodka with a splash of tomato juice. Onto the brunch buffet... I tried the salad and cold bar. Nothing was good, and it wasn't as cold as you would expect. I then tried the "hot" food. NOTHING was warm. I even watched the employees put out a new pan of vegetables and ham, still not hot. There was no rare or medium rare roast beef left when I got up there. It too was colder than the salad. I also had them make me an omelet, which was hot. However, the egg mixture ran all over my plate telling me it was not cooked. When a waitress asked me what was wrong when she took away an entire plate of uneaten food, I proceeded to tell her. Her response, "Sorry." No action.

I met 9 other people for a meeting in the Private Agnew Room and was completely impressed with the service and food. The staff efficiently helped us without intruding on the meeting. The food service was quick and my salad special was fresh and delicious.

I had a bit of a mixed time here. We came as a party of six and had the misfortune of picking a date and time that coincided with a much larger party, so from what I understand we had a bit of an atypical experience. As I'm told, it is normally a very calm, quiet and open area where members are free to roam about as they please. Due the large gathering, however, we were placed at a table in one of the quiet corner rooms away from the bar and central area. Nothing too bad, mind you, but not what I expected. The food was hit and miss, for me. My prime rib and crab cakes were both pedestrian, but the thunderbird salad was PHENOMENAL and my fellow diners all enjoyed their meals, which ranged from shrimp scampi to steak diane to a rack of lamb. The drinks really threw me off. The wine and liquor selections both seemed a bit narrow for a place as swanky as this felt, but the quality was there for the most part and the bartenders were superb, friendly and knowledgeable. After finishing our meal, the large party had departed and we were free to wander the club, taking in the fantastic views that a 22nd story space affords you. There might be better views in clubs in other cities, but I can't think of a better one in Omaha. All things considered, it was quite enjoyable and if we stay in Omaha I would strongly consider applying for membership so that I could come whenever I wanted.

We go here a lot for work events and the food and wine is usually great. The steaks are excellent, the wines well selected and the trademarked salad well worth it. Their hors d'ouvres are maybe the best of all. I think it's a place you'll enjoy.

The Omaha Press Club is exclusive but worth it if you ever get a chance to go up there! It has spectacular views of the city. There are 2 reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars. First: the decor is a little outdated. Second: The food is as you would expect, like a catered meal. It was good, don't get me wrong, but nothing specifically interesting about it. Of course, it could be simply due to what was chosen for OUR menu for the evening! Regardless, if you get the chance, definitely pay a visit to the Press Club!

Horrible experience. Went to the Press Club for a "Gourmet Event" and was disappointed at every turn. When we checked in they had, of course, lost our reservations - then the "Chef" and General Manager got up to brag about his culinary skills, telling us that he had personally cooked the Beef Wellington to the perfect rare consistency and that the puff pastry was flaky an light - when it arrived the "puff pastry" around the steak was more like wet bread and the steak was GRAY. It appeared to have been boiled - not a joke. The low quality of the food would not have been all that remarkable had this blowhard not gotten up and puffed out his chest and proclaimed his greatness before the meal. Then, when checking my bank account online, I find that they over-billed us by more than $130.00!!! When I called, the lady argued with me and tried to shift blame...but said she'd refund the overage. That didn't happen...it took 5 calls, and finally the offer to come there and pick up my refund, before the amount was credited back. This place is a narcissist's playground and operates to about the level of a Sizzler or Texas Roadhouse. The view however, is spectacular!
