Omaha Police Impound Lot

Why 2 stars instead of 1? Because my stuff didn't get stolen. Albeit i paid a hefty price for the security.I had an incident which left my car undrivable and I was forced to relinquish my ability to do so at the time. I had to sign some paperwork and my vehicle was removed from site and relocated to Omaha Police Impound. I was told I could retrieve it the next day.I showed up first thing in the morning in my working vehicle and had to produce many forms of ownership. Title, license, and proof of insurance. Then I had to give them my Visa. no other card would work and they don't take checks. Much like Costco in that matter. I called my roadside assistance and they were able to bring my car from Impound to my driveway, free of charge. +1 for Progressive! Upon reading the papers I had, it states that you can have the Impound bring the vehicle to your home or designated location for $~125, or they will bring it to the lot for $99. Plus $39 a day storage, Plus $44 for documentation. As you might infer, It costs much less to bring your vehicle home.Please avoid this location unless you are going to the auction. You can get a great deal on a slightly broken motorbike!

My daughter's car was stolen. When it was found several weeks later, it was towed to the Omaha Vehicle Impound Lot. Before we went to pick up her car, we called, and the gentleman who answered the phone was so much more helpful than I anticipated. He told me exactly what paperwork we needed to bring with us and was able to answer our questions in advance. When we went to pick it up, the workers there were all so helpful. We were expecting a lot of "red tape," but they made the process simple and fast.
