So not your typical "review", but if you haven't been to OOFG's - even just to browse - you're kinda missin' out! Ran some errands and figured we'd swing by and grab some items to make sushi at home for a date night. Was I pleasantly surprised when I walked in? 100000% yes! Quite honestly I didn't have any expectations as I've got nothing to compare it to yet, but between the well laid out aisles, ZERO odor (they've got some sea food, spices, teas.. chill folks) greeting you, PLENTY of product, excellent prices you have to make it at least once! Now I didn't go for the whole frozen octopus, or the mochi for dessert, but I did toss in a few 20% proof (woo) Sake that I'm quite excited about (the sweet gal made sure I knew it'll be cloudy, so appreciated that!). Do I have children chop sticks - you know, with the cute little design or animal, perfectly spacing the "how" to use - 100000% I do! Those little rice candies? The bring back childhood eating one rice paper wrapper at a time (it's actually edible!) super fast! Never mind that very underrated fruit, LYCHEEEEE! It's like if Peter Pear and Molly Mandarin had a baby, and named it, Lychee Jolene "Taste Like" Pear-Mandarin. Am I wrong?! Yall gotta go Oh also? Need Kewpie mayo or deep-roasted sesame salad dressing? Get your butt in here and buy some! There's a great selection of Japanese goods -- everything from sodas to seaweed. I get all of my sushi goods here, instant ramen/soba, soy sauce, wasabi, etc. They've got a great selection of frozen goods and sushi-grade fish as well. There's even ice cream!David, the owner, is incredibly kind and helpful. He has a lot of great recommendations, and he's very knowledgeable about the products. He even gave me a free sample of these salty sweet rice cake desserts, and when I got home I devoured them. They were so good!Definitely check this place out -- get all of your Japanese cuisine ingredients and meals here and support a great small business. Also....they're expanding.

I usually have to visit a couple different asian markets to get all of the items that I want. I was very happy with the large (and mainly) Japanese selection of items. They have products that I have not been able to get at other markets in town.The woman working was very nice and helpful. The store is small, but everything is very clean and it doesn't have that "asian market" smell.I ended up leaving with more than I was planning on shopping for, but very happy! My boyfriend was happy with the snacks and backscratchers. I will definitely be going back for all of my Japanese grocery needs.

This is a small grocery store centered on Japanese pantry staples. Here you will find everything to make proper sushi, including sashimi grade fish in their frozen section. Other delights include a variety of Japanese sauces, marinades, and dips, wonton, gyoza, and egg roll wrappers, Japanese plates, cups, and a nice selection of sake. They have nommy and fun Japanese sodas (ramune!) and candy.This is the kind of store I seak out in new towns, and they delivered!!

Moving from Virginia to Omaha left me concerned about the my Japanese market options. I am so glad that this store is in Omaha! It has all the staples needed to cook and has snacky extras! This will be my go to for all my Japanese needs as the other place I went to didn't have the selection I was looking for and smelled like a fish market. The prices seemed comparable to other store

Love this place!! Prices are awesome!! The people working there are super nice and friendly. I had a ton of questions about different foods and they answered them all and made wonderful suggestions!They are a local company so please support them!

I went to this store for the first time. Very clean and organized. I like the Hawaiian food products! My daughter was saying," Ooh, they have this! " (over and over) I bought Portuguese sausage, Hawaiian Sun juice, poi, mochi, and Hawaiian coffee ( I wanted to buy more).I will definitely go back! You have to wear a mask. Minor inconvenience. The cashier was friendly and even gave us some free candy.

If you are from Hawaii, you will love this store!!! They have poi, Lau Lau, kauai pig, natto, zippys chilli, portuguese sausage, mochi mixes, hawaiian sun juice, tsukemono, etc etc. Great for Creighton students from Hawaii when youre ono for some local food! Run by a Japanese lady and her husband. This place is legit!

This store specializes in Japanese groceries. It carries a bigger variety of high class Japanese items than the Asian Market. It's has a good selection of rice, noodles, snacks, cookware, and sashimi grade fish and seafood. Given that it's a small market, the prices are slightly higher, but the store is super neat and clean. When I make sushi at home next time, I'll be coming here to get ingredients.
