If you're looking for vibes that reminiscent to being in the big city, the Old Market farmers market is the place to be. With many of the vendors on the brick streets, it's like strolling through your own rom-com. The vendors are turn out fresh produce, baked goods, drinks and more. My favorite is to get a pastry and coffee and leave with some bread, peppers, and flowers. I love the long season and how things change from May to October. Parking is convenient, but because they're on Saturdays, parking is not free (It's almost like they planned it that way...) but stll a fun thing to kick off your weekend.

I love it here! It's great to come here all through the season and see the different varieties of produce. It's the first one, so we have rhubarb, cilantro, mushrooms, green onions, etc. Other things will come in their time. And of course it's always worth coming here for local honey, soap, candles, etc.Lots of food vendors - things to eat while you stroll around, or to take home.Great local musicians sharing their talents.Possible downsides: parking can be difficult, and so can walking on the uneven cobblestones. Also, lots of dogs, and some of them are distracted and excited. We all are, really. The Sunday farmer's market in Aksarben might be a better choice if the parking and walking situation here isn't appealing. But I always love the Old Market so I watch my step, and dodge the puddles on wet mornings like this.

We had a great time ..petting everyone's furbaby...listening to music by local musicians.. ..sampling different items ...we bought fresh mango salsa..some traditional HOT spicy salsa, fresh homemade corn tortilla chips, four tortilla chips...Jalapeño strawberry jam, jalapeño raspberry jam, guava jam ..my favorite!! It was a bit cold but comfortable enough to enjoy the day! Parking was a bit of a challenge but a little walk for exercise was good for us!

I love this farmers market! There is a wonderful variety of produce and I especially love the mushroom stand and the dairy/cheese stand! I got breakfast from the gravy train stand. They took card and I got my food really fast and they were super friendly. I paid cash when I bought mushrooms/veggies at other stands. I also saw there was an atm so that's convenient too.

I LOVE the Omaha Farmers Market in the Old Market! I always get the fresh squeezed lemonade from Big Kahuna lemonade. SO good! I also always have to stop by Slightly Cracked for an amazing breakfast sandwich (they always sell out... they are THAT good). I always get the meat candy goodness which has bacon, egg, and gouda cheese. I also love getting fresh flowers and produce! I cannot recommend going to the farmer's market enough. You get to walk around, get fresh air, and support local businesses! Tons of friendly people and lots of different vendors. Each place I have been to has great service too! I also got an Omaha Farmer's Market crewneck to rep the farmer's market. I love it that much. Cannot wait to keep coming on Saturday mornings!

This was a little small for my liking and happened to be a bit crowded. The vendors were positive and happy to be there, however the tents in the street were a little crowded with the amount of people attending, maybe just one busy weekend.

The downtown farmers market used to be my number 1 go to market since I lived there, but I have since grown more fond of Aksarben market. This one is still good but I've found the selection of vendors isn't as nice. The parking also isn't free unless you're there between 8:00-09:00 am. All that aside it's a fun experience walking the old brick streets and the performers make it exciting for children. If you only got to pick one market to go to however I'd say skip this one and hit up the Sunday market at Aksarben.

A fun, hot, packed walk about on a Saturday! Loved the pecans, the jewelry made of corn, the honeys, and had to try the biscuits and gravy and the breakfast burger. Oh and the honey hibiscus tea!I also scored a gorgeous pen and some just-ok kombucha that serves a good cause.

I like Farmers Market; you never know what you will find. We were looking for lemongrass and flowers but left with a good cider in my refillable growler. We also saw jewelry made from corn. Parking is usually pretty easy on the street at a meter. Carry cash, easier than finding vendors with a square. (Glacial Till does take cards, God bless them) Try it for your Saturday morning coffee; it's an easy way to start the day and enjoy the weekend.
