Omaha Country Club

I went here for a dinner club outing and it is nice! Last time I was here? 2013 for the U.S. Senior Open (watched it; didn't play in it!). If the Senior Open was here, it MUST be decent. The main dish was good (beef filet on a bed of mashed potatoes and green beans). I'm not a big fan of the wedge salad. It's kind of difficult to eat. Once I cut it up, the blue cheese dressing with bacon drizzled on top was delicious.The valet service was professional and swift. They also had a coat check service available; a bonus to have if you are wearing a long winter coat. The bar staff was accommodating as well. Just when it couldn't get any better, I'm always pleasantly surprised when the breadth of beer selections extends into the microbrew realm; especially at a place you wouldn't expect it. Well done, OCC!

Not something that most of us in the 99% get to enjoy often, but it is a very nice place. This is a private club, offering a wonderful golf course (as they hosted the US Senior Open in 2013), tennis, a large pool, clubhouse and dining and a host of amenities. The staff is very professional and attentive. I have been here a handful of times, for dinners, a wedding reception, and a few private parties. The clubhouse is beautiful, with the entryway showcasing a floor to ceiling fireplace with comfortable chairs to lounge in (and play on your tablet with free wifi if you happen to be my daughter). They have a nice dining area, bar, enclosed patio, and outdoor seating, as well as private dining rooms.The food here is pretty good. Not as good as some of the fine dining restaurants in town, but most of the time the food is above average. Overall it is a nice facility, but not something most of us would ever be able to afford.

We went here for a work dinner honoring a really brilliant person and it turned out to be a very nice event. The building is beautiful and it reminds me of some sort of university club. Tall brick walls and big windows. They have plenty of rooms to entertain 6-7 parties at the same time. Service is excellent, I'm sure they train their staff. Food is great and they pay great attention to details. Everything was perfect and the background music was a perfect volume. They have tons of parking s pace and the grounds are very well kept. Great place to bring out of town guests or going for a special event.
