Omaha Cake Design

We ordered cupcakes for our daughters baby shower - first I thought they were overpriced when I picked them up, pretty small order and well over $100. And if a product is really good I will gladly pay the price, however after one bite my first thought was - these were made yesterday. Dry, not much flavor, really, really disappointed overall. Would not recommend. If you compare to Nothing Bunt Cakes as an example which I know are more expensive, spend the extra money there is NO comparison. If you're in the food business and want to be successful, your food must be GOOD. This was not.

I had my gender reveal party last weekend, when my best friend picked up the cake she realized after bringing the cake home thatA. It didn't look like the picture at all so I spent my day rushing around trying to figure out how to fix it but couldn't. We just added some pink donuts to the top of the peaks to spruce it up.B. There were dirty finger prints all over the cake sheet that the cake sits on C. The top of the cake was supposed to look like it was dripping but was super sloppy you can see where there were gaps that weren't filled in and the pink topping wasn't blended into where the drips where creating a space between the pink topping and the dripping D. You could see the color of the gender through the frosting so we had to scramble last minute and figure out how we were going to reveal our baby's gender and I had to keep a distance from the cake otherwise I would have found out what the gender was before I was supposed to find out which definitely defeats the purpose of this cake ‍E. The cake was so hard that it was hard to cut into and when I did get into it the entire top of the cake was cracked and crumbled and my wedding cake set almost broke from ONE slice!!!!My amazing friends and family who put together my reveal party felt awful about this happening which made me feel bad because they shouldn't have felt that way. Omaha Cake Design should feel awful about this happening... not the girls who organized my event.* Don't believe me? Look through the "lovely" photos of proof that I gladly have attached to share. Each one shows everything I've mentioned (except the top of the cake cracking and crumbling when I cut it)I was so embarrassed to even have this cake at my party but the worst part about it all was that I called Omaha Cake Design and told them of my issue and was told that the manager was going to call me back the day before the party around 5:30pm after she got done delivering a cake to a wedding and that they were going to make this right except she NEVER called and so I called and left a voicemail just to be ignored. To this day I still haven't been reached.What I can gather from this place is that if there is a wedding on the same day as your cake is being made then you can forget about being any type of priority. The owner doesn't care about their customers, just here for the $$$, when they make a promise to make things right for you, they won't and lastly, their work is half fast. I will be sharing this review to on all of my social media handles so that I can warn them of this company. I have a business myself and would never treat a client/customer this way. Such a shame! I flew into Omaha from Arizona and was not impressed at all. Pay the extra money and go to Cake Creations Omaha. They did my birthday cake and cupcakes I should have listened to my gut and went with them again. They exceeded my expectations.

Heather did my cake and cake balls for my wedding and she couldn't have done a better job!!! We had the best time at our cake tasting, and were blown away by how yummy the cake was! She used her creativity to make the cake balls to look like basketballs, which is my husband's favorite hobby. Everything was decorated exactly how I imagined and she was a great communicator! She's my go-to for all things cake now! Her prices are super reasonable, as well. Thank you Heather!

They have really good cakes! We called them on the afternoon looking for a chocolate cake right away and they have one available! The cake was extremely delicious and very elegant! It was very affordable much less than I was expecting to spend! I can't wait till the next time I get to buy another cake!
