This organization is excellent! They have caring, talented instructors who will help your child progress as a dancer in a supportive manner. The staff and director truly care about your child and your family. Their goal is to provide positive dance experiences and opportunities for students in Omaha and they do a superb job at that. They offer classes in ballet, tap, and jazz. As students progress as a dancer, they are provided with opportunities to perform in the community. Best of all, the teachers foster a love for dance and encourage dancers to support each other. The dancers here are well-behaved, respectful and polite. For parents of females, it is nice to see your child in conservative costumes and dancing to appropriate music and not looking like a 20 year old shaking her body in a music video. This is a very classy organization. Great, great dance studio with quality instruction! As someone who lives out west and has attended other studios in West Omaha, I highly recommend Omaha Academy of Ballet. As a person who rarely write any reviews, I am writing this not because I was asked, but in response to how they handled a recent situation. They were beyond understanding and it is clear they are not just a money-hungry business that sees you as a tuition payment. They are an empathetic, understanding business that I will forever support!

I took adult ballet here for awhile (at the old location)... in that time frame we signed up for dance lessons for our wedding. Our teacher was fantastic with creating something original and special for us.My 2 year old takes ballet as well there and has absolutely loved it. I am glad the littles can go barefoot. She constantly is doing plie and pointing and flexing her feet in the car. I would say she is hooked. We love the new location and how big it is! Parking is also easy to get in and out of vs the old spot. Highly recommend.

There are serious concerns about the leadership style at the Omaha Academy of Ballet under Melanie Epps. Familes have noticed a reliance on intimidation rather than genuine respect and care when she engages with students, creating a negative learning environment. Additionally, the dismissal of the studio's most influential figure appears to be driven by her own personal motives rather than the best interests of the academy. Perhaps most troubling, there are indications that she has encouraged employees to believe that this is not a studio capable of producing professional dancers -- an attitude that undermines the potential of students and the mission of a serious ballet academy. Since she took over as executive director, the studio has declined in every measurable way, raising significant concerns about the studios future under her leadership. It truly is a shame to see the effect of her leadership and it should be reconsidered for the future of the studio.

Kicking a 3 year old out of the dance recital the day of for fear of how they would react on stage was ridiculous. Will never recommend this place.
