OM Center

This is also known as the OM Center. I once took an evening yoga class here and it was amazingly relaxing, focusing on meditation in addition to just physical exercise. The classroom space had a wonderful ambience with high ceilings, beautiful wood floors, and recessed lighting. I notice they still offer yoga classes as well as Tai Chi, mindfulness meditation and Qigong. There is a small gift shop upon entering with many unique items and a tea bar offering a variety of medicinal herbal teas. The OM Holistic Clinic provides physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, reiki, aromatherapy, and many other alternative therapies. This beautiful space is also available to rent and can be used as a visual and performing arts space or reserved for a workshop, meeting, wedding, or other special event. I have attended several art openings or poetry readings here in the past. With a professional kitchen, it can also be used to host an elegant special occasion dinner. The OM Center is a great spot! We had a rather unhappy situation come into our lives and it was decided that we needed to have a memorial service. Being less traditional than many of her peers we decided that a more spiritual place would be more in line with representing her soul. OM Center stepped up and was more than happy to help. Much more fair in price than $750 the funeral home wanted and we were even allowed to bring in our own food. When we arrived we noted the gentle storefront and soothing tea area, but what struck me the most was the spacious area that was hosting the private event. At our disposal that night was a full size kitchen with large Stainless Steel appliances, a large counter/bar area for serving, linens, tables, and chairs. I was able to tweak the lighting to showcase what I wanted to and it really felt perfect. I know I was being looked upon with smiles from wherever Momma is hanging out these days. A large showing of old friends, family, co-workers and neighbors came to celebrate and there was enough room and warmth for us all. I would love to have another event at the OM Center, just maybe a bit more on the lighter side of things

I haven't attended all of the events at the OM center, but I have attended some. The staff have always been kind and professional. I have always learned something and been inspired in some way. There is always something new to help you grow if you are interested, nothing is pushed on anyone, just offered. If you have a chance to check out anything here, do it. You'll be glad you did.

Very friendly and helpful staff at this Omaha center for healing arts. An inviting space with good energy. Director Sandy Aquila has created an oasis of alternative healing that embraces eastern and western approaches, including yoga, meditation, ayurvedic medicine, sufi dancing, physical therapy, massage therapy, and tai chi. I hope to add some Feldenkrais to the mix!

Center yourself, here. Positive energy in downtown Omaha. An oasis, for sure.

The OM Center offers so many classes and therapists for massage and spiritual growth,My favorite is when master Chen offers classes, pure energy here.It needs to be experienced , everyone benefits from these classes
