Ollie & Hobbes Craft Kitchen

Shared parking lot in a huge shopping mall. It's Xmas season, we still managed to net a pretty decent parking lot. Right outside old Chicago's. We were seated almost immediately. And tended to immediately. Our server kept checking on us. We were waiting for family- sonwe ordered our drinks first Drinks came almost immediately and I regretted my decision once it came. I had ordered the wrong drink- I actually wanted the sugar cookie Russian. Anyway, I didn't like my drink- sounded great but too tangy it had frozen cranberries in it. And a little candy cane hung on the side of the drink. Cool concept- not the drink I wanted but all my fault. When the rest of our family came, we ordered. Hubby ordered bbq bacon cheeseburger, mom ordered hobbes burger, my sis in law ordered southwestern burger and I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken burger with truffle fries. Hubby thought his cheeseburger was dry. Mom and sis in law thought their food was great. For me I thought my fried chicken in the burger was fantastic. And so were the truffle fries. The grease from the chicken soaked into the bottom bun and that was greasy so I didn't eat that. The rest of it was fantastic. Truffle fries - next level. Will be back. But no Christmas cocktail for me.

Had a nice lunch with my sister, mother and my mrs. She had the buttermilk chicken sandwich with truffle fries and I had the bbq bacon cheese burger with rings. She said the chicken itself was very nice but was placed directly on the bun and the bun soaked all the grease. The cheeseburger was over cooked and dry but the onion rings where perfect. The dining room was pleasant and our waiter was great. Even on that busy day.

Has been a month since last here. Lunch today. Spinach/Artichoke egg rolls app, Barnyard Burger,rare prep. BLT also. App not available today. Everything really really good.

Big portions and great dishes. I had a big ole salad that was really wonderful. The menu seems well rounded.

My sister and I have young children and it's always a hunt to find a good place for children to eat. Ollie and Hobbs some of it figured out outdoor games near the outdoor seating and decorate your own desserts. However, the menu has not much to be desired by picky little Eaters. The only acceptable options to my six-year-old to my six-year-old that we're french fries and mac & cheese. Let me tell you I was disappointed in these options. At first, I was excited because the mac & cheese is real. It's not craft. However, it's beer cheese and my child will not eat that. The fries are crispy and delicious, but they are also sprinkled with some kind of seasoning that my son will not eat.Other options included hamburger and chicken strips, which my son will not eat . My niece got the grilled cheese and she refused to eat it because the breading was crunchy and overly seasoned. There might've been a couple more options, but they didn't work for us. I recommend adding a pasta or a pizza.The desserts, however, were happily decorated and consumed while their meals that they're getting cold.Menu for the adult options are pretty good. My sister got a chicken gnocchi with a creamy sauce and it was delicious. I got a fettuccine pasta with a red sauce and it was just OK. There was too much Parmesan mixed into the sauce for my liking. It was a really nice day out and the outdoor seating provided nice shade . Our server was also very attentive on a busy Saturday lunch hour.

Been there many times. My daughter's favorite restaurant in town, probably because the kids meals are amazing. I really like the seasonal/rotating menu.

Bruschetta was on soft, oily bread rather than a crusty Italian bread. Fish and chips were five fish sticks about the size of a Mrs Paul's fish stick. The fries were way over seasoned. The brownie was hard, inedible and more sweet than chocolaty. All the waiter said as he took back what we could not eat was"sorry". The waiter was not properly trained.

The best food ever. I highly recommend the Parmesan truffle fries for an appetizer. They are some of the best Parmesan truffle fries I've ever had! I usually end up getting the feta and berry salad with chicken. It's always so fresh & so filling. I usually end up with leftovers. The service is always great, I always have someone who is quick and efficient. If I place a to-go order it's ready when I get there.

My server Jonny was very rude to are table felt serious passive aggressiveness. I just did not appreciate it.

The good stuff - the restaurant was clean, the temperature was comfortable, and it was quiet enough to have a conversation...mostly because the restaurant was largely empty.The poor stuff - on recommendation, I ordered the pork tenderloin. It was dry, over fried, and greasy. The potatoes were burned, yet soggy. I could tell the sauce had potential, but it was really thin - I wondered if it had broken.Many at the table ordered salads, and there were special instructions about ingredients to hold and add. The salads had wrong ingredients and salad dressings - the server had no idea who ordered what or even which salads were which.Some in the party were trying to finish their meals to catch a show, and because someone else was hosting and picking up the check, we did not complain much about the food to the server as time was of the essence. But I did want ownership/management to be aware the food was not up to par during our visit this week.
