Huge "Shout Out" to Todd Brisbois at Olde Towne Cyclery for his expertise in helping me choose my new bike. I went in thinking I knew exactly what I wanted, Todd kept asking questions and understanding my needs and found the perfect bike for me. I shopped one of the big shops in Omaha and they showed me exactly what I asked to look at, but didn't take the time to probe and discover was I searching for the "right" bike. Todd showed me what I asked for, but continued the conversation and suggested a style I didn't know existed, which was the perfect fit. The "small town" shop taking time to get to know the customer and their needs saved me from purchasing a bike that would not have been the "perfect" bike. When you find yourself in need of bike repair or purchasing your 1st or 100th bike, please give Todd a "shot" at finding you your perfect bicycle. For those interested, I purchased a Kona Rove.

Todd does wonderful work and really goes "above and beyond" to help his customers. He has serviced our bikes for over 4 years. And my husband's bike and my bike are 20+ year old models we purchased elsewhere. He has even stopped by our house to do a minor repair. Can't say enough about his knowledge and service. Wonderful!

I was planning to give a very detailed 5 star review of all the great service I got from this shop when I left Bellevue at the end of the month until we had a disagreement on service policy. I started coming to the shop in the fall of 2015 when I became interested in training for the bike ride portion of triathlons. I mainly chose this shop because it is conveniently on my way to the Bellevue Loop/Keystone trail. I was impressed with the friendly service and care of the owner, Todd. Todd helped service my bike and give me tips for how to be a better rider as I trained for a half distance triathlon. In February of 2016, I bought a Kona Esatto DDL for about $2000. I later bought a pair of aero bars for $30 and a tire repair kit (another praise for Todd is that he will teach you how to repair a flat tire). One of the benefits of buying a bike from his shop is that he offered free tune ups for 2 years after purchase. Since I was only going to be stationed in Bellevue until September of 2017, I thought that was perfect since it meant my bike could be serviced for the entire time I was in Bellevue. I took advantage of his full tune up offer about 4 or 5 times in preparation for triathlons. However, I would come into his shop about once a month or so during non-winter months to pump my tires. I don't know what exactly goes into a tune-up, but I'm pretty sure having tires filled with air raises bike performance.Yesterday, I stopped by to use a tire pump when Todd refused to give me one because he asserted I'm taking advantage of him. Some of his points included, "I don't have people buy a $5000 bike and then come in to fill their tires." and "you're borrowing my tools when I have customers" I reminded him of his 2 year tune up policy and thought it to mean I could use his tools to tune my bike myself. He incorrectly asserted that it has been over 2 years. I didn't come to his shop until October, maybe September, of 2015 to start bike training, and it has only been 18 months since I bought my bike from his shop. I remember another comment of his was, "What do you do with filling tires for a car, you don't go to the place you bought your car from to fill the tires." My answer is the base auto-mechanic shop has free air on the side of the garage for anyone to use. I've come to think of air as a free commodity. As for using tools when he has customers-first off, I am a customer! I bought from his shop multiple times and intended to get a new set of tires when I left at the end of the month. His shop is pretty small, so if it was a matter of being in the way of other customers, I would have gladly pumped my tires outside his shop. I personally wouldn't think anything of someone filling their tires at a bike shop, but I'll admit, I'm a novice biker and don't fit in with the biker crowd. Maybe there is something taboo about going to a bike shop to use tools, even if you are a repeat customer? Could I buy a tire pump-sure, but why spend money when you don't have to? I thought using a tire pump was a complimentary service from a bike shop. Therefore, I'm going to say there is a difference in opinion between the owner and myself. I thought the 2 year policy included using his tools on my bike. He obviously feels I was taking advantage of him. He had a great track record of friendly service up until yesterday, so I think it's only fair to give him 3 stars.

I love this bike shop! The owner, Todd, just started up the business in May 2010 and he is awesome. He knows bikes and will give you a fair prices on top of the line choices. The customer service was out of this world- he really bent over backwards for me and made me feel important. He expedited the delivery of a bike for my fiance's birthday and delivered it himself to my house. If you buy a bike or parts from this shop, it's guaranteed that you will be taken care of.

I finally decided to buy a Surly in a new, hard-to-find color after Todd let me test ride one in black last summer. I fully expected to have to wait until January, or later. Todd got right on it, found the last one at the warehouse in my size, equipped it with exactly the accessories I wanted or he suggested, and delivered it fully assembled and adjusted to my house two days before Christmas (I was working that night and couldn't pick it up in person). He even arranged to have the buyer of the black one come back in for fitting and comparison before mine was ordered. Going from a bike-in-box at a warehouse to delivery took several days, but only because 1.) Todd is a one-man-band at present until he grows his business and 2.) Todd wants every bike to be built to his exacting standards. Todd is very helpful and informative, and an enthusiastic supporter of cycling and cyclists no matter what your skill or price level. Thanks for returning a much-needed bike shop to under-served Bellevue!

I was threatened by him when I made a complaint and was told he would get a restraining order against me. At first when I answered the phone, he didn't identify himself before he attacked me verbally. He was screaming so loud that my phone was vibrating. I was so scared that I felt like my heart would jump out of my chest. No one ever deserves to be spoken to like this in any situation. When I found out who he is, I said you I was complaining because you ripped apart and made fun of a customer on Facebook, then you had ignored me 3 times when I tried to purchase a bike from you and then you blocked me on Facebook. He then proceeded to tell me what a complete nut job I am and started screaming at me to where my mom could hear it rooms away. He is all okay as long as you never complain to him. His business is about to fold and he hasn't been able to make it as you can see how his hours have changed down to nothing, it seems that he is a very angry person. Only likes those that spend money there and only men it seems..... I had to call the police, I am filing a formal complaint today for his threats and a restraining order. I complained because he isn't respectful of a lot of his customers and what do I get in return was the most horrific phone call of my life. Very very very cruel and mean to those he chooses to be mean too... watch out. He doesn't deserve anyone's business. He might know what he is doing, but you can't threaten people when they disagree with you. It was very wrong of him to publicly shame a man who wrote to him offering to make a website for his business. This is where this all started. Who does this? He even screamed so loud that he upset my 77 year old mother that is sick. All because I complained that he ignored me at a bike expo when I wanted to talk to him about selling me a bike. I guess he didn't need the business if he can turn it away.
