The OCon Expo is a local treasure that we get to have here, and you should definitely check it out if you're into any sort of pop culture anything! There are booths of every shape, size, fandom, and price range. They have tabletop games going all throughout the convention, and even a wrestling tournament with PWP Wrestling. You can buy anything and everything from the vendors on the expo floor - video games, action figures, glass work, and all kinds of other art and collectibles. Definitely bring your big pocketbook, because you'll want to spend a lot here, if you're a fan of any of the many different fandoms they have represented there.Another great thing is learning about other awesome stuff in the Omaha area, who are there to get the word out, like the PWP Wrestling I mentioned before, and others like the Omaha Film Festival - who are amazing - check them out!And you will for sure meet/see a celeb or two when you go to the great panels O Con puts on. We have met in person Kate Flannery (Meredith from The Office), Ming Chen (from Comic Book Men), and Michael Rooker (no description necessary on him!) - and seen so many more when just watching from the audience at the panels. Check ahead of time what the celebrity guests and panels will be, so you can make your schedule! If you go, definitely bring some questions in mind, because they do have Q&As at the panel most times, and you may get to ask one.We are super lucky to have the O Con Expo here in our little metro area, with so much to do, see, learn, buy, experience, and enjoy. If you're a fan of movies, comics, art, television, and pop culture - there will be something for you at the O Con Expo!

This was my first time at a Comic expo....needless to say there was much to see. I personally enjoyed meeting some of the artist and learning about their work and how long they've been creating comics. Everyone was so nice and open for questions. If you want more personal interactions and one on one conversations with the vendors/artist/authors, etc, come on the last day. It got pretty quiet towards the end of the event except for someone playing the bagpipes for a few minutes. I would have loved to hear some background music (maybe music from video games/comic based movies etc.) and maybe some big screens all around. Hopefully this even grows even more next year. I would have loved to see more clothing vendors, I was really looking forward to buying a cool shirt.

This local comic con was great! I've been to bigger and fancier, and to smaller, without star-packed panels. This was a fine in-between, very enjoyable and close to home.Simple things - the parking was plentiful and free. You could even hide in the north parking, in the shade. We choose up front after spotting a parent waiting in the car for her kid(s). The food lines weren't too busy when we got hungry, and hot dogs go with comic con, IMO.The main hall was filled, the size of an indoor basket ball stadium. Vendors, artists, and authors abounded. Got to see and meet many. Special shout outs to Fair Square and to Basi Affia at Sensil. Great conversations with each.Saw the panel with Felissa Rose. What a friendly, charming and warm person! She did an entire panel based on our questions. Got to meet her after, and she hugged me and my wife! Made my whole year! This is a con to which I will return!

I have always wanted to go to this and always seem to forget or head out of town so I was thrilled to get to go to this and take my nephew along with me. Parking was great. check-in was fairly easy. The people working were very enthusiastic.I loved walking in and getting to collect all sorts of promotional stuff right away. That was a cool perk I was not expecting. The vendor booths were so cool I wish I had more time to spend and look but also was thankful I didn't because I have a feeling I'd have spent a lot of money on things I didn't necessarily need.Honestly the main thing I wanted to do was just walk around taking pictures of the people in costume/cosplay. I actually did not get near as many as I wanted. The game room was really cool we only had a couple hours or I would have spent time playing a game and you had the option to get your name entered so you could win the game you played. The Omaha Film Festival (OFF) was also there they have a section where they sit and show I think primarily animated shorts throughout the day. Honestly I don't think this will be an event I forget in the future. Thanks for getting it set up Meg

Great to see the con back in 2023! A bit smaller than in past years, but rebuilding since this is the first one since the pandemic. Could use a bit better signage to know where things are located but other than that, a fun experience! Huge vendor space supporting local artists and loved to see the creative cosplayers.

My daughter and I went to the OCon Expo this year for the first time and it was awesome. I've always wanted to go to this.It was really fun walking around and seeing all the vendors and costumes. My daughter definitely had a kick out of some of the costumes. They also had a game room where you could play/sample some board games. My daughter recently got into Pokemon and there was a trainer there offering to teach people how to play. It was a great time. All in all, I'm definitely going to come to this every year. It was a blast.

My first time going to OCon and I very much enjoyed it. Easy to spend a couple hours there looking at all the talent in the booths selling art and merchandise. Many of these people all local and or regional artists. The cosplay from many attendees was great and I appreciate that everyone here seemed to be in good moods and enjoying themselves. Only con (no pun intended) is that I wish it were bigger here locally and it brought in more "celebs". Ending on a positive note is the wrestling event, panels and Omaha film festival sections all were very nice add ons and always had lots of people watching or attending those also. Great event and hope to see it continue to grow.
