My family and I only stayed here 1 night because we were flying our from Omaha the next morning and this was the cheapest rate we could find. The outside of the hotel is gorgeous and located in a nice spot with plenty of places to get food from, even a Wal-Mart nearby. We checked in and lugged all of our bags up to our room, stepped inside and it reeked of cigarettes (in a non-smoking room). Went back down to the concierge, told him the problem, and kindly, got us a new room. Everything seemed okay at first, until the toilet started leaking. So again, went downstairs, got a new room and lugged our stuff to our third room. Nothing was wrong.. until the next morning upon arriving home from the airport, I notice a bunch of bumps all over my legs. After trying to rule out other possible insect bites, bed bugs seem to be one of the leader. We called the hotel a couple days ago, they left a message with their manager and told us they'd call back the following day. THEY HAVEN'T. I'm very frustrated, annoyed, and itchy! Very unprofessional, I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

This used to be a great place. I have stayed here twice a year for the last several years. I made my reservations six months ago and requested ground floor. That request was ignored. In the past they have given us coupons for breakfast. No more! I needed to make future reservations in a different city but their web server had me blocked from hotel booking sites. I had to use my iPad with LTE to make the reservations.I guess all good things come to an end sooner or later.

We stayed at this hotel a few years ago & it was great. People were nice & helpful, but this is the last time we will ever be at this hotel. We had made a 2 day reservation, without the credit card because we had been there before. We figured we would be late & called & told the front desk we would be late & should be there around 9:45 - 10:00 PM. Well, while on the way we got hit by a small deer & that took about 30 minutes more & made us late. Luckily nobody got hurt, but the left read door now has a big dent in it & won't open. When we got to Oak Tree Inn, I was told the manager said we could not check in because we were 20 minutes late. I said we got hit by a deer, but the manager canceled our reservation for being late & gave the room to someone else. After this experience, we will NEVER BE BACK TO HERE. We left & went down the street to the CountrySide Inn & Suites & stayed there for the same price, yet more comfortable beds. Bo, who there at night was very helpful. It is worth going to & is better than Oak Tree Inn for the same price. There are a few hotels in Fremont, NE. The Oak Tree Inn, The Countryside Inn & Suites, & The Sleep Inn that I know of. We went to both Countryside & Sleep Inn so we could know about the hotels & the Holiday inn. The following night we stayed at the Sleep inn & I must say both of these are better in service & better than the Oak Tree Inn. We will be coming back to Fremont, NE but will NEVER stay at Oak Tree Inn.

What a hidden gem! Low rates, clean comfortable room and friendly staff. What more could you ask for? How about a great breakfast selection at the Diner in the parking lot! Great breakfast choices -- most are free with the copoun they give you at the hotel. There are other locations around the country and probably worth checking into when traveling.
