Nowhere Special Steakhouse & Saloon

This was a small town 4 star for sure. Our steaks were cooked very nicely though there was a lot of fat on them. The grill person gave them a deep brown char on the outside like we like them. Salt and pepper before grilling would have taken them up a notch. The only simple improvements would be, a few more veggies on the menu (broccoli or asparagus always go great with steak) more veggie options on the salads, maybe some caramelized onions, a good bar tending book for the occasional drink option and fixings for a loaded baked potato-(bacon, green onion, possibly cheddar). Either way, we would still return when out in the area...which is often. It was clean, busy, the wait staff was no nonsense but prompt and the mid-aged blond server was a great communicator. We were pretty happy over all.

I'd like to talk with some of the people leaving good reviews. We tried this place again after having a few bad experiences. Service was super slow and the manager is very snarky. She didn't want to correct their mistakes and treated us like it was our fault. We saw several people leave because of the wait but we really wanted to give it another try...that was a bad decision. Salad dressing was wrong. One alcoholic drink wrong. Steak was not prepared correctly and was overdone. Manager didn't care and she waited on us!

Fantastic food, good service, hometown feel. Great place to enjoy a meal. The ribeye steak is excellent.

Clean, small town bar and steakhouse. The prime rib is really really large (recommend split) and good. It comes with garlic toast and baked potato.Hamburgers are 8 ounces.Nicely decorated with a well stocked bar. It all looks new.Pools tables in outside enclosed bar.It is the kind of place that has guys of all ages wearing cowboy boots and hats. The drive to this restaurant from Omaha and Lincoln is beautiful with rolling hills.
