I love working out and sitting in the dry sauna afterward. Staff is amazing. Shoutout to Troy for always being so welcoming. It's a nice start to the day with his hello!Very quiet in the mornings so if you're worried about overcrowding, mornings are the way to go. The gym itself is old and needs renovation, but that doesn't interfere with a good workout. They have all machines you'd need and are in great condition! Plus side, not all locations have a sauna but at the NE location, they do.

This is an old school Y. It's very outdated, except for the downstairs lifting area. It's fairly small and simple. I think the majority of use for that place is by their preschool program.

Terrible location. Dirty diapers throughout the locker room, garbage is always full. I shouldn't have to change in an unclean area.

Like other's have said, I love the Y mission. I love the low pressure, friendly staff. I love the plethora of classes, pool, options. BUT, not this location. Come on Y, when is the NE side getting a nice, new, open, sunlight filled facility with real options for our kids?? Yes, they do have some updated machines, but they are kept in a cave. I nearly had a panic attack due to the claustrophobic conditions in there. Getting motivated to work out is not helped by the thought of descending into the abyss with no sunlight or visible route of escape. You aren't fooling us YMCA, this is indeed a dungeon. Yes, there is a door and a window in the pool. Yes, this is the pool that allows diving. Yet, still not enough to get me there. We could walk to this location, and yet, I generally choose to drive across town. Gymnastics for my 6 year old not offered at the NE location.Tae Kwon Do in an enclosed gym with no outside light. Again, hello claustrophobia panic attack. No climbing wall here. The kids watch is basically a hallway with toys and tv.The plus side: staff are friendly, but not overbearing.Child watch staff is friendly and my kid likes them, but rarely enough big kids to have kids quest. The group fitness classes I've gone to have been ok to good to great. Friendly and welcoming instructors, again without being overly so(one caution, please correct form- I saw some safety concerns with lunges and swinging weights in my last class here. :o )

I never signed up for their auto charge renewal. I only wanted to go for a month or so and they charged me 2 months after I stop showing up! I would not recommend this gym to anyone. If you are wanting a cheaper option, go to blue moon fitness. I will never be signing up for The Y again.

Even though this YMCA is an older building, they have done upgrades recently, and I love it here. They staff is helpful and friendly, and there are many opportunities in a low-pressure, accepting environment.
