Ninja Steak and Sushi House

Our FAVORITE place for Japanese food. Easy to find, it's on the main road way. The interior is nice and cozy. The staff is polite, friendly, patient, and so nice. They even have a wonderful staff who makes the amazing food and drinks. It is definitely worth th drive for us from Kansas to eat here. The miso soup is so amazing, and so is the iced Thai tea. The calamari is good, but I do prefer the veggie tempura. I LOVE that you can get 2 different sizes of miso soup to go also. The sashimi is absolutely amazing. They also have sushi options and hibachi. The hibachi is very good as well, but we prefer the sashimi. They offer dessert as well. They even have drink options of saki and beers from Japan. This is definitely our favorite place to eat. It is worth the visit alone just to try it,you won't regret it.

Great food and sushi especially for being in the middle of nowhere. Slow service but the food made the difference will return when back in town

Great staff, good food, reasonably priced. Clean areas and decent menu. Wish they provided chopsticks and fortune cookies, but overall, we would go back.

There is good sushi in Nebraska, everything I had here was really good,however the salmon was like butter,highly recommend. And I really appreciate that I called them at 8:15 to make my to go order that I didn't get to pick up until 5 minutes till 9.

Ordered takeout for sushi and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the sushi here is. Was in town for business and I'm always skeptical to try sushi in smaller towns but this place is very very good. I admit it's a little bit pricier than I would've thought, however the quality of the fish is pretty good so it's warranted. If you are in the mood for some great sushi, you should give this place a shot.

Enjoyed the food, takeout was ready when promised, and service was friendly. The fish was tasty and the rolls were interesting, but lacked some spice that was expected.

Unexpectedly good real z sushi for central Nebraska. Really only the "big 3" as far as raw fish, but it was nice that they had offerings that weren't just cooked imitation crab rolls. Excellent spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls with quality fish.What impressed me most about my most recent visit (I've been here 4 or so times) was how the staff performed. They were clearly short staffed (like most businesses are right now) but they did amazing with what staff they had. Real hustle from everyone, the 4 people they had worked like 8 handling a full restaurant at lunch rush.I will make this a lunch stop every time I'm in Hastings!

The food? Amazing. The service? Awesome. My friend and I are from Lincoln and decided to check out this place. We were seated right away and the waitress was quick and very friendly. The sushi is on the pricier side, but it was definitely worth it. We went for dinner, but they have normal lunch specials that makes it cheaper like most sushi restaurants.

They had a bad manager for a bit but the owner fired them and cleaned the place up. Gave them a second chance and everything was improved. It wasn't life changing. But compared to other places to eat in town it's miles ahead. The place looked like it was being run by competent employees.

Took a bunch of our friends here for dinner and found cockroaches around the building. Not to mention a couple of the people in our party got food poisoning. Eat here at your own risk, just looking around there were several health violations. This place really needs inspected by the health department ASAP to prevent others from getting sick.
