Our mother recently passed away and we needed to prepare her home for sale. She had a lot of stuff, some worth something, some not. We talked with a few auctioneers and found that they would cherry pick the items they would buy and then leave everything else for us to deal with. Except one, Shawn Reiff from (Lincoln Estate Sales &) New Generations Auctions. Shawn was super personable and we liked him. He seemed sincerely interested in doing the job we wanted: a complete removal of everything, selling marketable items, donating others, and disposing of 40+ years of accumulated stuff. When it came down to it, he and his crew fell far short on their promises. They left rooms full of junk untouched, miscellaneous junk strewn about her property (she had a ~15 acre acreage in Lancaster County, a hole punched in a door when they had to remove an old treadmill). When all this was pointed out, he denied his crew made the hole (they were the only people at the property and they were removing a large, cumbersome item from the room) and promised to get these things addressed. He never did. My sister, who is the only child who lives in Nebraska, and her husband spent an entire weekend removing stuff from the home. He has yet to remove a couple of bulky items from the yard that he has repeatedly said he'd take care of.This was a truly disappointing result, especially under the circumstances. It placed a huge burden on our sister, which is exactly what we were trying to avoid in the first place I why we were so happy when Shawn repeatedly told us he would "remove every single item from the property, except food and alcohol". He kept his promise about not removing that stuff, which there was very little of anyway (maybe 5 bottles of wine and a bag of food).

J.Y. this business owner is "rude" to his customers, Shawn with New Generation Auctions. Recently show up to pick up my things from a online auction. Always pushy and rude and likes yelling at you. His customer service skills suck, would be wise to go somewhere else.
