Nena's

Nena's is a small grocery store nestled along the South 24th Street corridor. Small as it may be, it still offers everything you need. In addition to frozen and dry goods, there's fresh produce and a meat counter. They even sell fresh baked goods and house-made tortillas. Oh, and it's impeccably clean. Hard to beat all that!I wish every neighborhood still had a corner store like Nena's. Beats the stress of going somewhere that's gigantic and busy just to impulse buy a bunch of junk you don't need all-the-while trying to navigate a mailer full of trivial discounts.

This is a very small store. It reminds me of the bodega's back in NY. Most of the products are from Latino markets. This includes canned foods, dry foods, snacks and random products. They also carry fruits and vegetables you will be hard pressed to find elsewhere in Omaha like 8ft tall sugarcane.It's located right on the 24th street strip so stop by next time you are near by. Tip - there is a $10 minimum purchase for debit/credit transactions.
