We have been to the Nebraska Surgery Center twice. Both times the staff has been very kind and caring. They listened to our concerns and answered any questions we had. I would recommend this surgery center to everyone that needs an outpatient procedure.

Two weeks ago, I had a septorhinoplasty performed by Dr. Jesse Schmid at the NE Surgery Ctr. Check-in and pre-op were quite efficient, w/ very kind, competent nursing staff. My only caveat for pre-op was that once taken up to the holding area, I was only in a curtained cubicle and felt rarely checked in on. I could overhear all the private conversations nearby. My anxiety over my surgery really ratcheted up the longer I laid there, waiting for something to happen. The operating room personnel were lovely, and apparently everything proceeded smoothly. I woke up quickly and was sent home not long thereafter.I really appreciate the lovely follow-up card that I received from the care staff, including the anesthesiologist! Thank you for a mostly-smooth day, NE Surgery Center!

New to this state in the last couple of years, and new to a different medical plan. So when I needed shoulder surgery, and checked with who my provider authorizes, I found Dr. Dane Todd. What was even better is that 3 of the few people I have met out here, also had Dr. Todd. And I was pleased to know that the surgical center is doctor owned. From consult in the office, through surgery and follow up, I have been very happy with the care I have received. From a surgeon that asked what my goals were following surgery, to all of the care from check in to release and follow up, everyone has been so thorough, professional and kind. It was a rough surgery, but I am hopeful that the new shoulder will give me the ability to do most of the things I love to do! I appreciate the level of care! Not the mention the tasty turkey sandwich and lunch from Venue!

I was told that I would be able to go about my daily life the DAY AFTER MY SURGERY. I made sure to let the providers know what my profession physically requires, what my daily activities are, and I was told that I would be able to perform those tasks, without any issues, the day after surgery. I was unable to lower my arm without severe pain and swelling for 4 days post op. After that, I was swelling and having to drain the incision area EVERY HOUR due to swelling and pain associated with that. I am a dental hygienist, which they were completely aware of, and I was NOT physically able to work until 11 days post op. I specifically asked if I would receive a drain port for my lymph node removal and drainage, and they informed AND assured me, that I would not require one. I have personally had to drain my armpit (where the lymph nodes were taken) and I have swelled HOURLY every day since my surgery. I am beyond frustrated. It is now 12 days post op and I STILL have to personally drain myself. I called the office and was told that I could come in and have the surgeon aspirate it if needed. I work AND live on the complete opposite side of town. I CAN NOT miss anymore work and they offered for me to come in over my lunch hour to have the site aspirated. As mentioned above, I work and live on the opposite side of town, so an over the lunch hour appointment is NOT an option. It seemed like a COMPLETE lack of concern that I have missed such an immense amount of work. In my opinion, this is a COMPLETELY avoidable situation. They lacked to inform me of the debilitating state I POTENTIALLY COULD have been in. I am a medical professional. I am beyond aware that not everyone has the same surgical situation or requires the same recovery time. I called and let the nurse know about my situation 5 days post op and was told that if I was not able to drain personally, they could aspirate for me. I WAS NEVER INFORMED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO DRAIN ANYTHING. When I asked about the reasoning behind not receiving a drain port, I was told that isn't what they typically do. Thank goodness I have an understanding employer, strong stomach, and high pain tolerance, to be able to do this myself. Not to mention, every time I would've had to go in for an "aspiration", I would've had to pay an additional $25 copay. Again, something they personally didn't consider. I'M BEYOND FRUSTRATED.
