I had back surgery 18 years ago and had been in pain ever since. I had shots and my nerves burned, physical therapy....nothing worked. I decided I could not continue living in pain and made an appointment with Dr. Gill,.Dr. Gill was honest and said I would probably always be in pain but we could get it to a tolerable level. He showed me on the xrays what we were dealing with and explained exactly what he would be doing. November 22 I had a rod and 8 screws put in by back. I have NEVER FELT BETTER.I can not say enough about how great Dr. Gill is. He was always punctual, talked to me, (he even called me himself if I had questions). And had a great bedside manner, unlike my first surgeon.I want to add his office staff was great to work with too. Called me back right away, and checked on me.If you need to have spine surgery Dr. Gill is the man for the job.

Had a portion of disc removed from Dr. Hain. I'm a marathon runner and chose to get this low risk surgery to remove a portion of disc that was touching a sciatic nerve. Surgery didn't go well at all. Disc was worse and went in for a second surgery to remove more disc. I'm much worse than I was going in. I'm now dealing with nerve problems in foot and a knee problem in the other leg. I struggle every day to walk. My experience here was subpar as well and was not treated well and the surgeon did his best to avoid me. (not good)This facility came highly recommended from a running friend but, i would steer clear to anybody saying this place is good. You never know if you're getting a recommendation from a golfing buddy or close friend not an actual good surgeon.

The verdict is still out with me. I have a bulging disc that causes leg pain and partial paralysis. My GP made a referral to this clinic. I say a surgeon Dr. Longley. I will NEVER see him again. All he did was tell me I was too large to be a surgical candidate. Honestly, very rude and had no compassion at all. I now have an appointment with Dr. Haughawot at the same clinic for pain management. I am not expecting the best because they are not solving the root cause at this point. I am going in with an open mind and see what happens, but steer clear of Dr. Longley unless you just want to be treated poorly.

Beware they charge 20.00 to fill out FMLA papers and another 20.00 for short term disability paperwork and another 20.00 for retirement paperwork. Never have I ever had a doctors office charge to excuse me out of work for surgery.

My Doctor referred me to Dr Fuller a few weeks ago because of back pain and leg pain. The appt was made, waited probably 90 minutes to get into him which I didnt mind before his PA came in, looked at xrays and said go to PT. Never did see Dr. Fuller and I've been in PT for several yrs off and on to no avail. Total waste of time. When I make an appt with a doctor, wait for the appt. Research the doctor ahead of time I expect to see the doctor when I get there.

Make sure you fully understand how they will be billing you before you start. They charge you by 15 min increments so if your time goes beyond 23 minutes of therapy you are billed for 2 units. I am paying more for a 30 min session than I pay for legal support. Also the difference between 1x1 services and "education" services is huge. Make sure your time there is really necessary. I would not recommend anyone go to this clinic.

Dr Gill did my lumbar discectomy.. he's amazing! The staff is so helpful and Dr Gill is always available to talk to within 24 hours... you can tell he takes pride in his work and is eager to help people feel better! I was very nervous about surgery as I had never had one and him and the hospital and office staff were very kind and patient with me. I was home within 45 mins after surgery! He took the time to answer my questions during my post op appointment and I am very pleased with his care :). Erin Kanne

Had my lower back fused in 2000 and have been treated for lower neck injury for the last 8 years. Pain injections and physical therapy. Soon to receive neck surgery. I have nothing but good to say about the clinic, doctors and staff.

The care I received at Nebraska Spine + Pain Center was the one of worst care I've ever received or experienced. Dr. Eric Phillips was very unprofessional, inconsiderate, dismissive, and refused to discuss my exam when he eventually came in with the X-rays. Then at the end of the appointment he said I could come back there for my follow up or go somewhere else and added he didn't care. Then when I called back to schedule a follow up appointment they would not schedule me because the doctor said he would not see me because I wasn't a surgery candidate. I wish I would have originally went somewhere that cared about taking care of the patient.

My Dr referred me to nebraska spine and pain clinic with Dr. Hane for an opinion on removing some fusion hardware that was spreading my ileoingunal joint apart. Dr Hane requested a thoracic (pain is in the sacral/illicit area, base of spine) ct/myelgrahm before he would see me. Spent $1000 and 3 months getting the painful scan just to have one of his nurses tell me that there's no surgery in thoracic area that would help me. Wishes me a good day and says goodbye. I reiterate the reason for the referral ie: removal of hardware in sacral illiac area and when I can talk with Dr. Hane? She informs me that Dr. Hane would not be available to talk to me. And says I have to return to original surgeon who did the surgery. Explained that the original surgeon a Dr. Cornett is no longer available and she says that isn't her problem and hangs up on me. As a retired nurse I have never been addressed in such an ob unprofessional way.
