Still have horrible lower back pain . Had lumbar steroid injection . Three weeks later pain is worse. Your "treatment " is see Doc Whitten once. Follow up by very green P.A.s. They do Not write pain scripts at this pain clinic. Huge building, staffed by maybe Doc Whitten and two P.A.s very very new. Find a better clinic anywhere.

I highly recommend not using this place. You are not a patient you are a number. Poor customer service. Twice it has taken over a week to get a prescription filled that I'm not supposed to abruptly stop taking because it can cause seizures but that's not their concern. I will be going elsewhere from now on once again do not use.

If your referred to this institute... do not go. Nebraska Pain Institute doctors, nurses, and staff are so rude and show zero empathy to chronic pain patients. They will prescribe you medications that have horrible side effects, that don't treat pain. They do not warn you about the side effects, or the studies shown the medications don't work for pain, and never were made to treat pain. Unless you are dying, they refuse to prescribe any kind of narcotics. I have never been treated so horribly by any doctors, nurses, or staff like I have at Nebraska Pain Institute. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Find a compassionate primary care doctor before stepping foot into that building.

not good. is right. the dr. came into room first thing out of his mouth is I'm not going to prescribe you any type of narcotic pain pill. like I was a just looking to get high off some pills. then took one look at my x ray for like 5 seconds looked at me and said your back doesn't look that bad to me. I'm in some serious pain. and he says my back doesn't look that bad. I hope one day this guy has the pain I do and. some smart ass dr. treats him like he did me.

The doctors were good seemed to care and really looked for a good treatment plan. The bad rating is due to the office insurance woman Sarah. She lied to me multiple times. Telling me that we were just waiting on pre approval from insurance or that insurance had denied something when she hadn't submitted it yet. The worst being when she made a slip of the tongue telling me that she didn't file the appeal request that I asked for (because my insurance told me to have them do this) because their surgical center wasn't running yet so they couldn't do the procedure. So you'd prefer to leave a child in pain and lie to a parent by not doing your job as you and the dr agreed to do (and told me was already scheduled) because you wouldn't make the money. Says everything I need to know about the practice.

Disorganized, poor scheduling and unresponsive. They treated me like a fool and never apologized for their extreme tardiness. Whitten was arrogant an unapologetic when I complained.

Uncaring Dr tried to push a medication on me I didn't want because of friends bad experience. Wouldn't give me medication I had been taking for 25 years, because it's a narcotic.

said I missed appointments I never did and that I called twice before my appointments but not 24 hours before and then refused to see me or give me any more of my medications. but waited to tell me when I called in for my refill when I didn't have any more medicine left. For no reason!!!!!!!!!!

Before even being seen once I'm being accused of missing appointments that I never scheduled. the scheduling people and office manager are rude and refuse to help figure out how there office could have messed up so badly. The fact that they refused to even explain how someone can miss an appointment that they never made, or to even offer to look into it. instead they get rude and act like it's your fault. Then try and explain that there is no one to submit a formal complaint with about the unprofessional attitude and treatment. They even refused to give any information about the appointment that was allegedly missed, who the referring physician was that so call made the referral or even actually look into it. if they weren't the only pain clinic I wouldn't care and just go somewhere else, but they knew they made a mistake based on how rude they were and I have read others that have made the same complaints about the staff and scheduling.

This office is unresponsive to voicemail and does not follow up when contacted. If you need after hours assistance, you are out of luck. They absolutely do not call back when you leave a voicemail on their "emergency after hours line". If you run out of medication they take forever to send a new RX. Find someone else!
