Such an amazing school! I can't not be more happy with my choice to go to NMC! I recently graduated from Creighton University and chose this ABSN program over continuing at Creighton. The staff is extremely helpful and everyone has a smile on their face. I'm can't wait till my cohort starts and I can get more time in campus!!

They told me to fill out my application once more online. The financial aid office had trouble processing my financial aid twice even though I had no loans or other financial aids from my previous institutes. I called my previous school 3 weeks before NMC to make sure all of my financial aid information transferred into NMC. I just got into UNMC. There is no way that I am giving NMC a third chance. My friend got accepted into NMC and has to pay for module courses and additional classes that are not relevant for nursing. They cost around $5,250 to complete before entering the nursing program!? I asked her if she wanted to continue going into the program even with that cost and she said this is the only one she got accepted to.Reading other reviews before signing onto yelp.com made me realize that the school is not hard to get into. They seem to be desperate for more students. I read in another review that they have been sending people who work from the school to pose as students answering questions from online message boards. The school will brag about the low cost of their program, nice and helpful staff, great program with high NCLEX pass rate and competitive nursing GPA. Well, my friend talked with her girl who attends NMC. This girl got a 3.0 GPA in her prerequisites and a 2.80 in her overall GPA from undergrad after acceptance into their nursing program. She also talked with students from other programs saying that the school charges $425/unit for modules for students who fail the NCLEX. Although admissions said that I could still get a seat in their nursing program after all the mistakes that have happened, I would have to say NO!

I am a nursing student here at Nebraska Methodist College-the Josie Harper Campus and it has been the best college experience I have had. I have attended college before deciding to come here for nursing school and here, I have had a much better experience. The class sizes are small, so you don't just feel like a number. The nursing instructors are so nice and helpful in your nursing school career. You also gain a lot of clinical experience since you begin clinicals in your first nursing class. This school not only has nursing, there are other health professions available too.

Taking classes I feel everyone who works here are overly nice to you if you pay up a lot of money for courses or a major here. Expect people who work here to gossip about you while taking classes. If you do bad in courses expect teachers not to treat you nicely in the end. I know of one guy who came from out-of-state for nursing school only to be shoved into another major that he regretted doing. Most healthcare jobs do not pick a lot of people from Methodist Health Systems, which is something to think about if you can't stay and work at their hospitals. Their programs are not hard to get in but it is good to think about what might happen to your career in the end after school if you plan to find work out-of-state.

First I have to agree about previous review of "Spanish", however that instructor has been let go. I have to say with all other classed I've taken at Methodist (I'm a 3rd year BSN student) have all been taught by some of the brightest women I have ever met! I am continually surprised by the level of expertise in every class I take. And beyond that I have gone back to my micro & A&P professors when those concepts were vague or forgotten. In each case I have been given an hour+ of individual instruction on the professor's time. Not to mention they have the highest NCLEX pass rate in the state. While tuition isn't cheap most thing that have real value are not. Great school, atmosphere, and faculty. I couldn't have made a better choice, period!

I went to this school to pursue a degree ion surgical technology. When I was in my first two weeks of going to school here I decided I no longer wanted to be a surgical tech so I switched over to their nursing option. They never told me I would loose $500 dollars if I switched to a different program and never even offered to reimburse me on the books I bought. When I was in the AP class for surgical technology, which is a huge joke, the teacher doesn't even tell you what to study for on the test. When I finally switched to the AP class I needed for nursing it was much better with a much more instructive professor. I am also taking their "Spanish" class currently which is also a joke. The teacher doesn't even teach you Spanish you literally have to teach it to yourself. The majority of the class is spent "volunteering" a few of your Saturdays babysitting peoples kids (yes, my tuition went towards people getting free daycare for there kids and food). The Spanish teacher also doesn't tell you what to study for on the quizzes either. For this next Spanish test I have to memorize and whole conversation in Spanish not knowing what I'm even saying. Before this college I attended Metropolitan Community College, which offered a way better experience than Methodist did. Not to mention many of their teachers and students seem to be very rude and inconsiderate. My first experience with any members of the schools staff was with financial aide. This was probably one of the rudest people I have met there, it was a woman, she literally made me feel like I was suitable to attend school there because I wasn't earning enough as a CNA. She said, "how do you expect to pay for this, are you gonna ask your mom and dad or what?". She then says that she was mad at me for making her have to do "this stuff". The health nurse at the school was also rude, I went to her to turn in my insurance card, and I kindly said the persons name for who I was looking for, not knowing it was her I was talking to, and once I said the woman's name I was looking for she got rude and her face changed and she says, "Ya thats me". Then a few weeks later she emails me saying she lost my insurance information! This was not the NP. I'm not sure if the woman was even a nurse she just handled the insurance for the students. When I was billed for switching from one AP class to the nursing AP class they never told me I would lose 500 dollars, so I said to them, "why didn't anyone inform me I would lose this much money?", they go onto to say,"well its in the fine print once you sign". Who reads the fine print!? Then my advisor who I talked to about switching programs never told me I would have to wait another year to start nursing after she said to my face, "yes, you can start next semester". So after I had switched and everything I called the advisor for nursing one last time (this was weeks after I switched to nursing) and I asked her again am I okay to start this next semester, she says wait one moment and looks through her computer and says no you will need to wait a year. So in turn I am going to be completely done with Methodist after this semester. Worst school I have ever been to. It has not only been me, many of the students at Methodist have complained numerous times about the Spanish and general AP classes offered. I wish I would have stayed at Metro. I am now gonna pursue Iowa Western Community College because I have heard nothing but good things. I literally spent 2000 dollars on one class at Methodist because their phony Spanish class doesn't transfer anywhere.
