A Peruvian place is always welcomed and Nebraska del Peru is no exception. It was about time we had a place in Omaha to enjoy Peruvian cuisine. While it is still brand new and operationally working on smoothing some edges, Ms. Claudia and her crew do show dedication to their craft. The food hits close to home and fulfills the crave I have whenever I yearn about Peru. Can't wait to see this place grow and hopefully add more options! It also has partying on the weekends which is a plus! Worth trying it!

We came to watch this band. The restaurant is hard to find we had to Google maps to see exactly were it was, it's inside the comfort inn hotel pass the entrance. It would only make sense that the restaurant would have more than one waitress tonight. When we got here there were a few people in the restaurant and the poor waitress was already overwhelmed. We flagged her down to get menus and she did the best she could to get our order in. The poor lady was running all around tending to the table and the bar area. The food was ok, the best of it were the French fries. Maybe the kitchen was short handed as well.

This is a hidden gem! I've never had Peru food and let me tell u it is absolutely AMAZING! Everything is homemade and made from scratch! The cook grows the fresh organic vegetables from her garden! There is sooo much love in this dish! Every single bite has so much flavor and it absolutely delicious! I HIGHLY recommend trying this out! I will definitely be back tomorrow!

My husband and I came here for date night. It was a little difficult to find at first as signage is lacking outside of the restaurant. It is the old firewood restaurant located inside the Comfort Inn. Upon entering the restaurant it can't seem to decide if it's an outdated tiki bar or restaurant in need of updating. The walls had peeling paint in every direction we looked, the floors were dirty, and the tablecloth on the table we were seated at was also dirty with remnants of the previous guests food. The music was very loud and the chlorine and bleach smell from the hotels pool was very overwhelming in this space. We were seated immediately and given menus. We ordered about 5 minutes after we looked at the menus. They have a Peruvian menu or American menu, we opted for the Peruvian menu. We inquired about drinks and they only had coke, sprite, water, or two of the three specialty drinks on their menu available. We just ordered water. We were given our water and we waited for our food. Then we waited some more. After 50 minutes of waiting my husband received his plate, after another 5 minutes I received mine. My husband ordered a curry based dish and he said it lacked flavor, it also looked extremely unappetizing (it looked like canned tuna with yellow sauce over it). We were also confused by the carnation stuck in the middle of his rice. While he said it was edible, it definitely was not worth the $18 price tag and something he would never order again. My plate was just downright nasty. It tasted like canned chicken swimming in a salty soy sauce like sauce. I also do not know how you can mess up French fries, but they did. The French fries were soggy and tasted like great value crinkle fries from the freezer section. I took one bite of my meal and opted not to eat anymore. My husband finished his dinner after about 10 minutes of having his plate. We kept waiting for the waitress to come back (about 20 minutes) and she did not, until we literally called her over as she was running past. We asked for our check and a box. She said ok. Then we waited some more. It took another 20 minutes until I asked the bartender to run our check so we could leave. During our one hour and forty-five minute stay our waitress came to our table a total of 5 times, once to take our order, once to bring our drinks, twice to bring our food, and once because we asked for our check. I do not understand what she was doing or the kitchen was doing as they were not busy. If you enjoy waiting forever for food with terrible food and service, then enjoy. We will not be back as this was the worst restaurant experience I have ever encountered. With so many restaurants to choose from in Omaha, this isn't even worth trying.

First thing you notice when you enter the restaurant is the cleanliness, loved how the owner tells you the details and a small history behind the dishes you have. I do recommend coming after 1pm as they do need some time to prep the food but otherwise it's definitely worth the wait as it's sooo good surprisingly as we're in Nebraska far from any coastline service is 10/10 and food 20/10
