Nebraska Balloon & Wine Festival

I am generally very easy to please, but I was so disappointed with my Balloon and Wine experience. The tickets were a really great value, $14 to enter and taste 5 wines with a wine glass souvenir. But the actual wine, left something to be desired. My group and I arrived promptly when the doors open and thankful we did, we were able to get through all of our tickets and hold down a table in the viewing area all day. But as the crows grew, so did the frustration of long lines for food and bathroom. I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt and assume this was the most attendance yet, and the organizers werent prepared. The musical entertainment was great. There was A TON of stuff for kids to do. I didn't really have any expectations, but I thought balloons would be coming and going all day, not waiting until dusk to see them.Hopefully the event will be better organized. It's in a beautiful setting!

This was a fun event. There were a few things I was disappointed with. The tickets never said around what time the balloons would go off at, and it didn't say to bring chairs for seating. With this being said, we left after two balloons launched because the wind stopped blowing right as they started to go up. But, no one can control this. There was a plethora of different wineries and wines, and a massive amount of food trucks. There were also give a ways, places to shop, and activities for the kids to do. I just really wished mother nature would of worked with us and all the balloons could of been launched. However, overall a relaxing event.

Nebraska does a pretty nice job with their Balloon and Wine Fest! Great vendors that frequent the Old Market Farmers Market and food trucks galore! We ended up getting a BBQ sandwich with corn pie and BBQ ribs.. really good!!Venue is a little small for the amount of people that showed but still not too bad! I think with the amount of people that showed.. more tables and chairs would be good! Great job with the fest! Would love to see more fests like this around these parts!

Did more people show up than expected? This is a cluster. Long lines, no parking. If the line takes 30 minutes per taste, what's the point? Great idea though... there's potential
