Nature Dog

We stopped into Nature Dog on our way to Petco to see what they had. We were greeted immediately once we walked in, and the front desk staff was awesome.They're a small boutique style and local store with a great selection of options. We opted for some training treats with our new puppy. She sniffed around and found a toy she liked and carried it for a bit around the store while we browsed. Between the treats, bones, food, and other options, I was impressed. They had quality brands that would ease your mind about what your dog is eating. We grabbed a few other treats to try out. They offer fresh treats at the counter on the left side if you're looking for one or two! I look forward to going back.

Went into this shop to buy dog food, rec. Orijen. Mentioned I didn't want any products made with China ingredients. She proceeded to point out dog bones, rawhides, etc. to me which were all good products she sold. I didn't have my reading glasses on, and picked out two nice sized bones. One was a gigantic dino-looking bone. The other a pressed rawhide, largest size and the huge bag of Orijen. My total bill was over $60.Went home and doggie didn't like Orijen, after several attempts,gave up on it. Then I went to rip off the tag for her rawhide bone, ONLY to discover, the dreaded MADE IN CHINA printing. Called shop to chat about that and just said they never had any complaints about the products ---nothing was addressed about the pet treats/food issues surrounding the junk in the China factories. How close to nature is that?Went all the way to the store to return dog food and look for something else. Lady at the counter was busy chatting with another, then told me she couldn't take back any opened bags, period. She asked if I was first offered a sample, and I told her no.By this time, I am quite disappointed about the policies of this store and lack of communication.I should have been offered a refund or store credit at the very least. Secondly, don't pass off China rawhide to make a sale. Having a dog and two cats, I spend a fortune in supplies/food. Normally went to PetCo and decided to try Nature Dog instead, thinking it was all about customer service and quality.NEVER AGAIN. Will try Long Dog Fat Cat at Village Pointe,or go back to Petco.

Nature dog is small boutique pet store catering to people who want the highest quality food and toys for their pets.They only stock very high quality pet food. You will not find Alpo here! You won't even find the brands of dog food that pose as high quality (but really aren't). The people who run the store are dedicated and knowledgeable.The prices are competitive considering that we are talking about very high quality (and thus more expensive) products here.My only wish is that they would stock a wider selection of high quality dog toys. What they do have is good, don't get me wrong, but it would be nice if they had more.

I've recently adopted two Maine Coon Kittens and we're also getting a puppy in October! that's a lot of fur! I did a lot of research online, and I mean a LOT, and this place has the brands that got the best reviews. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I like to support local businesses, and would recommend you try this place out!

Wonderful place to shop in store and on line. My dog's first birthday cake was bought here and her special dog food. My 1st 2 Samoyed got their dog food here too. I have been a customer since 2000. It is a wonderful hometown store with quality products and good help.Thank you for your service to the community.

Melissa and the staff at Nature Dog are always helpful. Great variety of good food and toys for dogs and cats! Ferris loves the raw bones!

My cat was sick for about 6 months and needed a special kind of food. Nature Dog was one of the 2 places in Omaha that carried it and they are close to my house. Overall I really like place and I love that they carry a wide variety of food. Also I love that the owner has 2 resuce cats she lets live in the warm store. They are friendly and so adorable. My only complaint is that they don't carry more cat stuff and that they only carry a few kinds of each food they have have.
