Napoli’s Italian Restaurant

1st of all I'm a huge critic when it comes to Italian foods. I am a chef but no longer practice.We came down to Napoli for a lunch date no one in the whole place except 1 waitress and the manager and a cook in the back.We were thinking, meh hole in the wall iowa, it'll be ok, I spose right, whoa let me tell you what, the shrimp tasted so fresh and none rubberized texture. Being from San Diego as well as the wife, we know good sea food. I give this place a 10 out of 10 for the shrimp and lobster ravioli and the linguini carbanara. Don't miss out!!! We will be back religiously

I was bummed when Lincoln's closed; but this place is pretty good. I thought the baked ziti and garlic bread were great. Service was fast despite a full restaurant (though my waitress was a bit strange). I wish they'd open the blinds and add some ambience like Lincoln's did. A great addition to the hundred block overall.

I really wanted to like this place but they kind of fell short on everything. We got the cajun seafood and the tour of Italy. The cajun seafood tasted like bland fettuccine with hot sauce, and the broccoli pieces were huge. The crawfish was very chewy- not fresh. The tour of Italy was just pretty bland. Very little flavor, and the lasagna was not good at all. The noodles were really weirdly textured. Outside of the food, the service was okay. They were nice but again, it was off. I asked for recommendations and she had none. We had to ask for parm cheese and it was super hard in the grater so she had a hard time (not to mention it looked hard so it wasnt fresh). Bringing the food over, the sauce started spilling, she noticed, said "it is spilling a little" to us, then proceeded to place it in front if my busband spilling the sauce on his lap, and I'm not sure if she noticed even after he jumped but she didn't say anything.Unfortunately, they rushed this place into the location. From cheap to-go boxes to unseasoned food, it was just a miss all around.

My daughter and I went here a couple weeks ago for dinner, as it's a new Italian restaurant in CB, so we had to go and try it.The host and waiter were super nice. The decorations and ambiance inside was very Italian, which was cool.My daughter ordered the kid's spaghetti alfredo and I ordered the Spaghetti Works dish. They also gave us some garlic bread rolls, which were good.My daughter's spaghetti alfredo tasted like straight up butter. I didn't realize until when we were about to leave that there was a kid's butter noodles dish as well, and it's possible they just gave her the wrong dish, but either way, it was straight butter.I have mixed feelings about my Spaghetti Works dish. The meatballs, I kid you not, tasted just like the meatballs from a can of Chef Boyardee. The only reason I know that is that the week before, in a state of weakness, I ate a can of Chef Boyardee spaghetti o's and meatballs. The exact same flavor. The Italian Sausage in the dish tasted like normal Italian sausage and the sauce was just okay.Also, at most upscale Italian restaurants, such as this, they come around with parmesan cheese and and ask if you want any grated onto your dish. That wasn't here, which was a tad surprising. (Doesn't affect my rating.)We got a cannoli for dessert. At first, the $6 price shocked me a bit, but after getting it, it comes with whip cream and chocolate drizzle so the $6 makes sense.I really wanted to love this place but both dishes were just off. I will go back and see if my experience is any better and will update my review, if its any different. It's surprising as other people have really loved this place so maybe my experience is a one-off?

The aesthetic of this establishment is very pleasing. The owner is super friendly and passionate, making the restaurant feel like home. Along with the passing down of recipes from past generations. The food that I tried was immaculate. The veil piccata was a new dish for me to try and it was delicious! The savory flavor of the veal complimented with the lemon flavor and capers is to die for! This place takes you on a trip away from the "normal" everyday life.

You can feel the culture when you walk in. The service is 10/10 imo. Staff are observant and efficient. The food is incredible!!!! We had the spicy sausage appetizer, eggplant Parmesan, pasta w sauce, manicotti, and rolls.

The spaghetti with italian sausage is as very good. Service was quick and respectful. Will definitely go back!

I just love this place! I have been here multiple times and I've not been disappointed. Service is great and they're always coming by to check on you. The food is delicious. The music playing in the background makes it feel like an Italian restaurant for sure.

Delicious food! We went for a Sunday lunch and there were eight of us. They put us towards the back of the restaurant and we felt like we had our own private room.Everyone liked what they ordered and the rolls that come with the food are delicious!Our server was helpful and attentive. Pasta dinner prices are around $15 and my portion was enough for me to have leftovers.They have great weekday lunch prices!Support local and check out Napoli's! We are so happy to have a good Italian place in CB and to see a restaurant enter this space!

Went here on a Monday night, the food was amazing. Our waitress was prompt, polite, and attentive. The look and feel of the place is a slight twist on the new food, but still reminiscent of the previous restaurants before it, the old brick, the bar, it was quite nice. The chicken Diane was amazing, the bread was tasty, and they nailed the old fashioned cocktail. We will definitely go back again!
