Mockingbird Hills Community Center

Although this is an indoor 25yd pool that offers lap swim for 1 hour a day (12-1pm), not a great place to get a workout in. They didn't have any lane lines in (although there were some on rollers on the deck), and the water and indoor pool area were way too warm if you were actually trying to do a workout of 3,000+ yards in an hour. On top of that, there are no spectators allowed in the pool area unless you are wear a swim suit and pay the $4 admission fee (even though there is plenty of space and tables, chairs and benches to sit at.) I was visiting area with my son, who is a competitive swimmer and needed to get in some training. Will look for other options in the future.

I bring my daughter here to lap swim with a trainer. I bought 2 $50 punch cards with 20 punches each from the Montclair location a year ago and still had a few punches left. I love the staff and location of the Montclair pool but it was was closed part of August until mid October for some repair so I was glad I could use the card at this Mockingbird location as it is a part of the Omaha Parks and Recreation. We have been coming here 1 to 2 times a week since for a few months and have had some issues. First was a schedule miscommunication. The posted hours said they were open for lap swim but the teenage girl at the front desk said the pool was closed for the night. I called the next morning to speak to a manager and she apologized and said it was a new lap swim time and the girl at the desk was wrong and she would make sure everyone was aware of the schedule. So the next week we came back and all was good. After a few weeks I used the last of our punches and bought a new $50 punch card to use the following week. I payed by credit card so I would have a record of my purchase. Unfortunately I misplaced the card before I had a chance to even use it. I paid cash for one session and figured I'd keep looking for my card. I went back this week and told the same teenager at the desk that I lost my card and she checked with her supervisor and told me they couldn't do anything for me. This place does not have many lap swimmers. They know who I am and they know I haven't used the punch card. They simply don't care.

Great place! The manager Dani Kraft was very helpful when booking my birthday party. Will definitely be returning here in the future!
